"Hey, ready for our date?" Tyler asked, as he walked up to my apartments front porch. I smiled, and looked down at his cute face.

"Yeah, I'm ready. So what are we doing?" I asked, as he took my hand and lead me to his car.

"It's a secret." He told me, as he opened the passenger door and helped me into it. Before he shut the door, he went in for a kiss.

Smiling, he shut the door, and went around the car to get into the drivers side. Jamar had already left for his camp, so I didn't have to worry about him seeing me.

"Are you excited for senior year?" He asked, as he put one hand on the wheel and one on my upper thigh. I smiled and nodded my head.

"Yeah I'm excited, but I don't want to do all that college planning. And when I go to college after next year I won't get to see you all the time like now." I sighed, as he drove along the icy road.

"Aren't you going to Grant University? That's only 20 minutes away." He laughed, his hazel eyes glittering.

"Yeah, but I might be staying on campus. If I can even afford to pay the fees." I told him, nervous about my financial problems.

My mother had worked all her life and I've never seen any of the money. I bet she spends it on drugs or alcohol, and all the cigarettes she smokes.

"Hey, you can stay with me. My bed holds 2 people." He flirted, as I leaned over at a stop sign and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'd take you up on that offer, but what about Paige?" I asked, not wanting to know the consequences of her finding out about this.

"You didn't know? She's going to Yale. She got in early because I am an alumni and her track skills and records." He told me, as we turned into as we turned into an icy pond.

"No she didn't. I would of thought she would of told me." I mumbled, wondering why she left that out. But I couldn't worry about that now, I was supposed to be having fun.

"An ice skating rink? This is going to be fun!"
