"Ok, I'll try to be over as much as I can. Also do you need me to get anything for you at the store?" Tyler asked, as he helped me make room for Talia in my small bedroom.
"Umm, I guess I could need some more food." I laughed, looking over to the table that was full of food baskets my friends and neighbors sent me. Tyler laughed, then gave me a tender kiss.
"I have to leave, I love you. Fiancé." He grinned, as I looked down at my engagement ring. It was a beautiful diamond, and the ring fit perfectly around my finger. Probably because of all this extra baby weight.
"I love you to, fiancé." I smiled, looking back at him lovingly. He waved goodbye, then left my apartment. Talia was sleeping in her crib, and my mother was napping in her bed. Everything was quiet, for the first time in forever.
I didn't really like being alone with my thoughts that often. It gives me time to worry and stress about the little details. Or wonder why my life is as messed up as it is.
Unfortunately, the quiet did not last for long, because suddenly there was a sharp knock at my door. Thinking it was another one of my neighbors delivering a basket, I opened the door without thinking.
"Why the fuck did Mr. Starr come out of your apartment? Because I know for sure he ain't your stepdad."
