"I thought you were on my side?" I frantically asked, rising up from the bed.

"I'm in neither side, I just want to be here for my little sister and... Well if he gets custody I'm sure he'll let you see her as often as you want. Hell you could even live with us once we get our inheritance. Well, he is a legal adult too. And the money! Well... You should just think about it." She told me, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I'm not going to give him full custody to OUR kids. I'm the mother, and I'm not giving up that right. If he wants to go to court, then fine. God this is weird talking about your dad like this..." I started to say, as she turned towards me.

"Yeah, kinda... It's fine, it's fine.... Look, do whatever you want. But just think it over. You don't have money for a lawyer. I got to go." She flatly told me.

That's when I put the pieces of the puzzle together.

"Tyler sent you over to spy on me and try to get me to give him full custody of Talia??"

"Out!! Get out of my apartment!!!" I yelled, grabbing Talia out of her arms. Her face was red, and she was embarrassed that I caught her plan.

"Fine! If that's what you think I might as well leave. That's bullshit and you know it." She yelled back, storming out of my room. How could she?

As soon as she left, Talia started crying hard. Thanks to the argument, everything was crazy here. I can't believe that Paige would do that. I thought she would be there for me...
