"Can we take this outside, my mom and Talia are sleeping!" I whispered, shutting the door behind me. Jamar was harmless most of the time, he just had his moments.
"Explain. Explain why you fucked me over like this? Who's child is it? What was he doing here?" Jamar asked, a black back pack hanging out of his hand. Inside of it had clothes stuffed inside, and it looked like all of his personal belongings.
"Look, I slept with a bunch of guys before you" I lied, trying to throw him off. "I thought for sure it would be yours. Guess not." I sighed, trying to play it cool.
"You know, I didn't listen to all those people at school calling you a hoe. I thought they were just being rude. But now I know. Now I know that they were right." He yelled, slamming his fist on the railing.
I could feel tears forming in my eyes, but I tried to hold them in. I had to act cold, so he wouldn't come back and harass me. I did deserve this though, I'm a horrible person...
"Yeah. Maybe you should of listened to them." I choked, clenching my left fist tightly. Jamar threw his backpack over his shoulder, and shook his head.
"I'm leaving. I can't live above you, seeing guys come in and out. Seeing you and your daughter. I loved you, Sam. But you, didn't. You just broke my heart into a million pieces." He admitted, looking at me in the eyes.
"I guess that was your mistake then." I told him, as he walked away. To this day I regret him leaving like this. Without saying goodbye, I walked back into the apartment, tears streaming down my face.
