H is for Hunter

The rain poured and poured as I lay in my bed starring out at my wet window. The telly blared in the background as I rolled away from it closer to the edge of my bed. The rain was fascinating me.

My mind had gone from being overwhelmingly filled to almost empty. The image of mesmerizing ocean eyes filled my head , and it stuck. I couldn't help but be fascinated and curious about what lurked within them.

Hunter was sweet , Hunter was sweet like honey. There was this misconceived idea about him that did him no justice.

"Juliet" a voice said gently as it knocked softly on my door. It was a known fact I didn't like people in my room , this is why nobody entered.

"Yes?" I answered not taking my eyes of the drops of water that splattered across my window.

"You mother would like you to begin getting ready for the dinner party - you're leaving at 6:30 sharp"

"Thank you Lucille" I say not bothering to move out of my position as I dazed off into the nothingness that always proved to be something.

Eventually , I move from my position and take a shower. But as I closed my eyes immersing myself within the hot water I felt his eyes on me again , as if it was so stain within my brain and no matter how much bleach I used , I couldn't get it out.

Hunter intrigued me, I don't know what it was but I couldn't help but find him fascinating.

"Don't you look lovely" my mom said as I sat at my vanity fair watching myself as I did my make up. She walked over gently placing her hands on my bare shoulders. My dark hair was pinned up exposing my my bright emerald eyes. She stated at me for a moment before kissing my head gently and leaving

"30 minutes"she calls as she walks down the hall. I began covering my lips with a deep red matter lipstick as I watched my reflection sharply. Finishing off I began looking for my clutch purse ready to leave.

"Short dress" my brother comments as he leans on my door frame. He wore black trousers and a white shirt that had the first three buttons undone as a bow tie was hanging around his neck with his messy up do.

"You look like a hot mess - I take it Lila didn't go to well?" I question as I walk up to him.

"Actually it did, after she cried of course- apparently being frank was the way to do it" he says as I button up his shirt for him.

"Told you so"I smile focusing on my task at hand.

"Okay but seriously , you're dress is short"

"Ed, stop" I snap not wanting to have this argument with him "you're not my dad" I grumble as I begin doing his bow tie for him. He keeps quiet looking around as I focus on the black bow.

"What's up with you, you've been weird lately" he ask and as I finish up I look at him raising my eyebrow

"what do you mean?" I question walking back to my vanity fair table grabbing a hair brush.

"I mean, you've just been a lot quiet lately , and I haven't seen Oliver in sometime" he adds as I hand him my hair brush. He stands at the door looking between me and the mirror and I nod allowing him to enter.

"We just , had a bit of a -"

"Argument?" he asks as he stares at his reflection

"No, more of a disagreement" I answer hastily and he glanced at me for a moment.

"Julie... I love you, but remember where you stand ... and remember what your role is" he says and I frown in confusion.

"What is that suppose to me?" I question as he finishes up and we begin walking down the staircase

"It means know your palace and play your role"
