Desperate

"I love you"

I just stared at him with a single eyebrow raised and an unimpressed look. I couldn't be bothered anymore.

"The cold air's getting in" I mutter as I attempt to close the door but his foot blocks it, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Please, just listen" He pleas and I can't help but feel irritation crawl in.

"It's one in the morning, I want to sleep" I snap viciously. My eyes were still red and puffy as I cried once I got home from school. By the time Hunter and Hailey came around I had managed to pull myself together and plaster a fake smile and have a minimally enjoyable ride.

"I miss you"

"Do you miss me, or do you feel threatened" The words weren't meant to leave my mouth. I wasn't supposed to say it but I did. The words dangled in the air, clearly heard and acknowledge. He stared at me for a moment as it was now his card to play.

"And why would I be threatened" he ask as his posture straighten up while he's brunette hair falls in his face, slightly over his cloudy grey eyes.

"Cause you realized you're not the only guy. You're not the only one who has their eyes on me. I can state, as a fact, that there's more than just Hunter. But you only realized this now" I stepped closer to him as I look up into his eyes. I rest my index finger on his chest as he watches me carefully, lustfully. "So, I'm asking again Oliver, do you miss me or do you feel threatened" I could hear his breathing as the cold winter air began to surround my body.

"No one's gonna take what's mine Juliet, and you know that"

"No Oliver, that's what you think" I tap him gently, "People don't care about us anymore. No one cares if their stepping on your toes. So come back when you have your shit together" I say as I try to walk away, he grabs my wrist and pulls me in for a kiss. I wanted it so badly, I wanted him so badly. But I knew better.

I pulled away and brought my hand to his face as a sharp sound filled the air. His cheek was red and he winces as he gently brought his hand to his face.

"I am not you're fucking whore" those are my last word before I close the giant oak door and return to the comfort of my room.

By the time lunch rolled around, I couldn't care less about anything. I just wanted to go back to bed seeing as Oliver decided to interrupt my sleep, which completely threw off my whole cycle.

"Tired?" Hunter ask as we sat inside the warm toasty café, that was quite full seeing as the rain chased everyone indoors

"You don't even understand the half of it" I mutter while I open up my sparkling water.

"How's Oliver anyways" Andrew asked to, causing me look up with raised eyebrow

"Why does it matter" I questions as I take a sip of the bubble

"Just curious, y'know I care about you " He comments as sly smile slips onto his lips

"Sure you do" I roll my eyes

"The way you flirt with Julie makes me thrown up, like, can you not do it privately "Ellie rolls her eyes as she takes a bite of her pasta and for a split moment, Hunter seems slightly irritated and stand-offish as he side glances at Andrew

"Not flirting, just companionship, right Julie?" He laughs as he wraps his muscular arm around my shoulders and pulls me in for a tight hug.

"Ahem" Someone coughs and we all look up to see Oliver standing there, he stares down at Andrew and I with an expression of light concern. Andrew quickly removes his arm away from me as I stare down at my nails, realizing I actually soon will need to re-do them.
