walks
it felt like a normal day to tony and lilly. they went for a morning jog and walk. emma had decided to join them for the walk, deciding to not go on her school field trip.
"i woke up and.." tony was explaining, before lilly cut him off. she had already known where this explanation was going.
"you felt as though you had to pee?" she asked, a slight smile raising to her lips. he nodded his head frantically, pointing at her.
"yes! exactly that." he exclaimed, pointing a finger at her as he began to walk backwards. emma shook her head, confused at her adoptive fathers tactics.
"how did this even get brought up?" emma questioned, looking between her step father and the women he was dating. tony though for a moment, before he remembered,
"i dreamt it last night." he told her, to which she just nodded her head chuckling. "tonight we are going out to dinner, we haven't done that in awhile." he says, turning to the two girls. lily raises her eyebrows,
"really now?" she asks, unsure of what to think. they never really go out to dinner. as tony is widely known, and lilly gets recognized as wel now too. they continue to walk, until they hear a strange sound.
the three turned, to see a portal like thing beside them outlined in orange. lilly stride back lightly, to see emma be pushed behind tony's back. he stepped infront of the two girls, to see what was happening.
"tony stark, i'm doctor stephen strange. we need you to come with us, along side miss. lodge." a voice came through, as a tall man stepped through the portal. he wore a red cape, and a large necklace on his chest.
lilly's eyebrows furrowed, staring the man down. he made eye contact with her, before she spoke.
"do we know you? what are you doing here." lilly questioned, to see another man come out behind dr. strange. the man was shorter, though she the same wizardry vibes.
"are you selling tickets or something?" tony questioned, only for the dr to roll his eyes.
"we need your help to save the universe. it's not overselling to say this all has to do with the universes fate." he told the couple. he looked at them only to see the teen girl behind stark. he chose to ignore it though.
"who is we?" tony questioned, glancing between the two men in-front of him. as if i'm cue, bruce banner stepped out from the portal. he made eye contact with tony, who immediately softened up.
"hey tony..." bruce said, stepping forward to him. tony's eyes widened, shocked at who he saw infront of him. the last time he had saw bruce was two years ago. right after lilly moved into the tower. "lilly..." bruce says, looking over at her.
she is at a loss of words, as he had been missing for the past two years. her mouth opened to make a sound, but all she could do was nod her head at him.
"bruce.." tony says, as bruce takes another step forward to him. "how have you been?" he asks, only for the man not to answer, and just embrace him into a hug.
lilly takes a shaky breath, looking over st dr. strange. he watched the four carefully, understanding. lilly turned to stark, nodding her head knowing that they should go.
though the remembrance of emma behind them, changes her mind slightly. though emma seems to read her mind, she speaks up.
"i'm coming with." she says, lilly goes to speak but emma cuts her off, "i can help, in ways you won't know." emma tells, before stepping out from behind tony, and into the portal behind strange.
