Severide couldn't sleep. He kept having the same nightmare that Savannah would collapse again. But this time not make such a quick recovery. She needed a kidney donor, he had kidney, he just had to make sure he was a match. He just knew if he mentioned him donating the kidney to her she would never let him. Kelly also knew that Herrmann,Casey,Shay,Dawson and Mills had offered to give the kidney but she had turned them down with the same excuse,"I don't want you not to be able to live your life."
Shay was up a few hours before Kelly and was already dressed, showered and ready for her shift.
"Hey. You look terrible." She said handing him a mug of coffee.
"Thanks Shay." He grumbled sitting on a stool at the counter.
"What's up?" Shay asked joining him.
"It's Savannah. I just can't help but be worried she might collapse again." He sighed.
"Have you told her this?" Shay said sipping her coffee.
"No but I was thinking of giving her my kidney." Severide owned up.
"Good luck with that. She won't even let Mills give her the kidney. And they are tight." Shay replied.
"I wasn't going to tell her it was mine." Severide said.
"What if she asks to meet the donor?' Shay questioned whilst pouring the rest of her coffee in the sink.
"I haven't thought about it all yet, but she can't just live her life waiting till she next collapses, she's like a time bomb waiting to explode." Kelly said making his way upstairs.
Shay thought about what Kelly said realising he was right.
That morning at work,Shay went to ask Savannah wether she knew her results from her tests,so she could tell Kelly the needed blood type.
