Burning slowly {part two}

Savannah fastened up her paramedic shirt and slammed her locker shut. She glanced at the tape on her locker and wondered who's name was there before hers. Her thoughts were interrupted by the PA going off, "Truck 81, Squad 3 and ambulance 61, building fire at 35 Groves Rd."

The brunette sighed and jogged out of the locker room to the ambulance.

She climbed into the passenger seat and slammed the door. Shay switched the siren on and followed the fire engines out of the station.

They pulled up outside a small house with two adults and a young child stood outside.

"Is there anyone inside?" Casey asked the male adult.

"No we all got out." He answered putting his arm around the young boys shoulders.

Savannah motioned to Shay to put the gurney back and the two women stood by the ambulance and watched the others start to put the fire out.

After the fire was put out the young boys parents came over to thank them for their hard work.

"No problem sir." Casey said as Shay handed him a bottle of water.

Once the boys had drank their water everyone set off back for the station.

Once Savannah was inside the ambulance her phone vibrated with another message.

Savannah

I'm coming to the fire station for your key, I have things to do tonight so getting my stuff once I have the key.

You better be there.

Phil

Savannah sighed and swore under her breath whilst turning her phone off.

"Everything okay?" Shay said, taking her eyes off the road to look at Savannah briefly.

"Yeah." She said sighing.

"You can tell me you know." Shay said unconvinced.

"I know." Savannah said with a small smile.

As soon as Savannah and Shay pulled up they could both already hear shouting coming from inside the station. Shouting that was all too familiar for Savannah.

"Who the hell is making that racket?" asked Herrmann.

Savannah put her head against the glove box in the ambulance.

Suddenly the doors swung open and the yelling got louder.

"Where is she?!" Phil yelled at Casey.

"Who?" Casey said trying to refrain from beating him.

"You know who! Savannah!"

All eyes turned towards the ambulance. Savannah grabbed her keys to her locker and threw them out of the ambulance window, "They're in my locker!" she shouted before putting her head on her knees.

"You stupid bitch!" Phil said picking up the keys, "You can't do anything right!"

"Right man I think it's best if you left." Kelly said glancing inside the ambo.

"When she gives me her keys!" Phil yelled gesturing towards Savannah.

The ambulance door opened and slammed shut. Savannah grabbed the keys of Phil and went towards the locker room.

Phil was about to go after her when Severide grabbed onto his arm,"I think you should stay here."

Savannah returned keys in hand and tears in her eyes,"Here get you stuff for god sake and get lost."

"I'm not done with you!" He yelled shaking off Kelly's grip.

Everyone looked at Savannah, "I'm fine." she said wiping her eyes with her finger tips.

Shay went to put her hand in her arm but she shook it off and went to the locker room.
