Burning slowly {part five}

Savannah had been under the rocks for about ten minutes now with the injured male who was still unconscious but breathing. She had told Mills she was fine so he would worry but the truth was the last few times she had coughed she had been coughing up blood. And the pain in her abdomen was getting worse.
"You okay in there Savannah? Casey is making his way across with Shay and Cruz." Kelly told her.
"Yeah, I think you need to get the injured male out first. He has been unconscious for a while and I can't reach to asses him." Savannah said cringing at the pain.
"You sure your okay?" Mills asked worried.
"Yeah I'm fine." she said coughing.
"Right lets get you out of here." Casey said as Shay and Cruz joined him.
"Savannah, are you okay?" Shay asked her handing her another oxygen mask through a gap in the rocks.
"Yeah, I'm fine but you will need the gurney for this guy down here." Savannah said.

Once the rocks had been moved, Savannah helped Shay and Casey carry the gurney to the ambulance.
"Shay do you want me in the back, Savannah could probably do with a rest." Mills offered.
"Yeah thanks Mills that would be great." Shay said pushing Savannah towards the passenger side.
Shay and Savannah both got in the ambulance and made their way to the hospital.
"Savannah you stay here, we'll take him in." Shay said as she closed the ambulance door.
Savannah lifted her shirt up just above her belly button and saw a dark purple bruise, she pressed on it and winced. She started to cough but put her hands over her mouth. When she took her hands away she saw blood on her palms.
"You okay?" said Mills once he got in the back.
"Yeah,fine." she said quickly putting her hands face down on her lap.
"Okay." Mills said unconvinced.
"We'll check you out when we get back to 51." Shay said getting in the divers seat.
"You don't need to I'm fine." she said thinking of the bruise.
"Well we need to check for smoke inhalation anyway so we might as well."

House 51...
"Is Savannah ok? Herrmann asked Severide.
"Yeah I think so just smoke inhalation. Shay said she'd check her out just in case." Kelly replied.
"Good for her." Herrmann said putting a hand on Kelly's back.

"Thanks Mills!" Shay called as Mills went to the locker room.
"Right, follow the light with your eyes." Shay said shining a torch in her partners eyes.
"Any pain anywhere?" Shay asked turning the torch off.
Savannah thought of the bruise,"No, can I just get some water?"
"Yeah sure but come back." Shay said and Savannah got up.
Savannah took a few steps then felt dizzy, she put her hand on the table to steady herself.
"Savannah?" Shay said concerned.
"I'm fine...." Savannah said before collapsing.
