I only own Cassandra.

Tinkerbell watched over the girl for several years after she found her that night. At a distance, of course. The child was too young to know her destiny at the moment.

So Tinkerbell came to visit every other night.

Cassandra did not act any different than any other child that Tinkerbell had seen, but she knew that the girl was different. Different in ways that even Blue did not quite understand.

Years passed.

Cassandra grew older, growing more and more beautiful with each passing day. Tinkerbell kept watching over her. It wouldn’t be long now- she would soon know who she really was.

“Remember,” Blue had said. “She cannot know about him yet. She must find out on her own.”

Cassandra was nine years old now. Tinkerbell watched as the young girl braided her doll’s brown yarn that passed as hair. Her hands were gentle, as if she would accidently hurt the doll before her. And as Tinkerbell watched, Cassandra began to hum a song that was unknown to the fairy. Suddenly, the girl stopped.

And she turned to look at Tinkerbell, who quickly tried to hide behind a book.

“Who are you?” Cassandra asked, her eyes shining with curiosity. “Are you a fairy?”

Tinkerbell hesitated before walking towards the little girl. “Yes. My name is Tinkerbell.”

Cassandra giggled. Tinkerbell flew down closer to the girl, cocking her head in confusion.

“Aren’t you wondering why I’m here?”

“Not really,” the little girl said. She smiled. “I’m just glad you are. I don’t have many people to talk to, or play with. Would you play with me?”

Tinkerbell grinned. “Sure.” She used her magic to transform into a human-sized fairy, minus the wings. Cassandra stared in awe at her.

“That’s amazing,” she whispered.

“That’s not all I can do,” Tinkerbell said. “Maybe one day I can show you what else my pixie dust does.”

“I’d like that,” Cassandra replied. She turned her attention back to the doll in front of her, and then handed it to Tinkerbell. “This is Emily. Be careful with her, okay?”

Tinkerbell nodded as she gently took ahold of the small doll. The black button eyes stared into her hazel orbs, unblinking and emotionless.

The fairy and the child played with the dolls for a while. Cassandra had finally found a real friend, a fairy no less, to play with. And Tinkerbell had found a way to grow close to the girl she was supposed to help protect. It was a bit hard when Tinkerbell realized that it was time for her to leave.

“Will you come back?” Cassandra asked, walking to the window. Tinkerbell had already shrunk back to fairy-size. Her wings flapped wildly as she floated just outside of the window.

“Of course,” Tinkerbell responded. “I’ll be back. It won’t be every day, but I will come back. I promise.”

Cassandra smiled. “Then I’ll see you soon, Tinkerbell.”

The fairy grinned back at the child. “Fly with you later, Cassandra.” And she flew away.

Blue was waiting outside of Tinkerbell’s flower home upon her return.

“How was Cassandra, Green?” Tinkerbell frowned at the name Blue called her, but smiled as she reported her day with Cassandra.

“This will be easier, then,” Blue said, her hand resting upon her lips. “Remember, you cannot tell her anything about who she is yet. She isn’t ready.”

Tinkerbell nodded, trying to hide her annoyance of the constant reminders. “I understand.”

Author's Note: Yay! I love the little scene with little Cassanda and Tinkerbell. Okay, so I have to ask a question to you readers. Do you want Tink to lose her wings when she was helping Regina (like what happened in OUAT) or do you want me to change it up a bit? Let me know! And the picture is more or less a picture of young Cassandra (Hailee Steinfeld). But I'm sure you all get the idea. Follow, comment, and vote! First comment or follow gets a dedication! xoxo Miranda
