I only own Cassandra.
The island was silent. So silent that no creature dared to break it with their sounds and noises. The flowers were raised toward the sun, soaking in the warm light. A gentle wind shook the leaves of trees and bushes, rustling the grass as well. And then, there was a great sound that echoed throughout the island. If you had asked any creature (if they could talk, that is.) what the sound was, they would reply that it sounded like a bright musical bell. Not a fairy bell.
A bell of the island.
The sun began to shine brighter than ever before. Everything was still for the slightest moment, and then there was another sound that was carried in the winds. A baby was crying.
The child was on the grass in the center of the island, wrapped in only a blanket of leaves. If you weren't a part of the island, you would notice that a glow emanated from the baby. It was of a gold color, and could be seen from other realms if you knew where to look.
Several leaves fell on the ground beside of the baby. She stopped crying immediately, reaching out to poke them. They turned a golden color and then transformed into human-like creatures. The only difference between them and humans were that they had golden armor made of pixie dust with green swirled markings on the attire. That, and the creatures had bright blue eyes.
In all, there were about ten of the silver creatures. One of them leaned down and picked up the child in their arms. The baby was not afraid, only entranced. She began to giggle. The creature eyed the marking of a tattoo on her shoulder, noticing it was a feather native to the island.
The baby's small laughter created a castle made of stone nearby. It would serve as her home for many years. The silver creatures headed for the castle, smiling to themselves as the baby continued to giggle.
...
The baby grew into a beautiful young woman. She had learned much from the silver creatures, who gained knowledge from the fairies. Even some of the pixies themselves wanted to meet the girl, so they frequently offered to teach her their lessons.
On her 17th birthday, she had officially become the Queen of Neverland. Her crown was a golden wreath, bestowed upon her by one of her dear friends, the Blue Fairy. Blue had also given her a protective locket that would ward off dark magic, no matter how powerful. Cassandra always wore it.
"Do you swear upon Neverland to uphold the traditions and values of goodness and purity, for as long as you live?"
"I do."
"And do you swear upon Neverland to do what is right, no matter the consequences, good or bad, in order to create lasting peace and fairness for the realm of imagination?"
"I do."
"By the power granted by the Fairy Realm to myself, Blue Fairy, I now declare Cassandra: Queen of Neverland."
The girl stood from the throne of vines to face her kingdom. It was small, but magnificent. She had learned so much in her time, and created a wonderful world. She reached down to pat the earth below her.
"I will always protect you, dear island. I am your daughter, but I will also serve as your mother. I promise to always care for you."
...
Cassandra stood in the great hall, facing the leader of the Shadows. His golden eyes stared at her as she explained their banishment.
"You and your kind have not only committed crimes against the children brought here by the Second Star, but also against Neverland. You shall not be excused from this treachery. It is with a heavy heart that I declare that all Shadows must now live in the Dark Cavern. None shall leave, or they will be banned from Neverland entirely. Am I understood?"
