I only own Cassandra.

Cassandra stood in the forest. She looked around her, trying to figure out where she was. She knew she had been here before, perhaps…Her dream. She had come here once in another dream. Why was she here again?

“Cassandra,” a voice whispered. The girl turned around to see a male figure in front of her. She couldn’t really see his features, they seemed a bit blurry. He seemed young. Maybe he was her age?

“Who are you?” Cassandra asked, trying to walk closer to him. He backed away, his arms crossed.

“You won’t beat me,” he said. “I can’t be defeated.”

“Defeated? Why would I defeat you?” Cassandra questioned, confused as to who he was and why he would say something like that.

“You know why.”

“I don’t,” Cassandra tried to say, but he only chuckled.

“One thing you need to know,” the boy said. “Is that I know who you are, and I will make sure that you are unable to win the game.”

Cassandra crashed onto the ground. A groan escaped her as she fell on a broken twig; it cut through her blouse and scratched her stomach. She sat up, holding the lower part of her stomach. It was bleeding slightly.

“Cassie?” Henry’s voice caused her to turn around and quickly grab him. Greg and Tamara were there as well, watching them as they stood up.

“Where are we?” Cassandra asked, her voice raw with anger. She and Henry had just been kidnapped and taken to a world that they didn’t recognize.

Tamara ignored them as she pulled out a walkie-talkie. “I’m going to inform the Home Office that we arrived.” She clicked the call button but heard nothing. She tried again, and then looked at Greg.

“It’s not working,” she said. He took it from her.

“It has to. Check the batteries,” he replied. Greg opened the back to reveal it was full of sand. “I don’t understand.”

“What is going on?” Cassandra demanded. Tamara looked at the girl and Henry, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

“Welcome to Neverland,” a voice called. The group turned to see a group of teenage boys entering the clearing. The one in front was clearly in charge. He had blonde hair hidden underneath his hood, a scar on his face, and he was holding a club over his shoulder.

“Neverland?” Henry asked quietly. He stood with Cassandra, her arms wrapped around him tightly.

“What’s going on?” Greg asked, stepping forward. He held out the sand-filled walkie-talkie. “Where’s the Home Office?”

The boy smirked. “We are the Home Office. Good job in completing your mission. Now, hand over the boy and the girl.”

Tamara stepped protectively in front of Cassandra and Henry. “Not until you tell us the plan for destroying magic.”

The group of boys all chuckled. The leader boy turned to look at them, and then back at the others. “It doesn’t work that way. Give them to us and leave safely, or refuse and pay the price.”

“Price?” Greg asked, confused. “We aren’t doing anything until you do your part of the deal.”

The boy nodded at his group. They all pulled out various weapons-swords, bows and arrows, and spears. “Guess no one told you. We are the ones in charge, not you.”
