I only own Cassandra.
Leaves swirled around Cassandra’s feet as she landed on the rocks. She had seen Hook’s ship docked at the pier. She had also seen the group being welcomed back by the other citizens of Storybrooke. Cassandra couldn’t face them; she was overcome with emotion. So, she landed in the distance, on rocks by the beach.
Something felt off as soon as she stepped foot on the grass. Now that she realized her real identity, she was able to understand her full powers. And that included feeling the power surging through flora and fauna. One message was clear: someone was in Storybrooke that shouldn’t be.
The girl held her head high, shutting her eyes. The wind carried conversations to her ears, allowing her to hear Henry’s concern about Felix being free. Cassandra’s eyes fluttered open as her locket began to glow. Something was off with Henry.
She began to walk toward the nunnery. She had to talk to Blue. Not about Henry-that was only a suspicion. But about Tinkerbell.
…
“Cassie?” The superior fairy was shocked to see the girl, to say the least. “I thought you were…the others said that-“
“No one knows I’m here. I told them to leave me behind,” Cassandra said while walking around the room.
“Where’s Tinkerbell?” Cassandra held onto her locket, refusing to look at the woman.
“She…” Cassandra began before sighing. “She’s dead. Pan killed her.”
Blue didn’t say anything. She only stepped closer to the girl, ready to give comfort if needed.
“And after she passed in my arms, Neverland returned my memories. Every one of them.” Cassie looked up at Blue for some sort of emotion. The fairy nodded.
“I knew it would,” Blue replied. “Did you hear the rest of-“
“The prophecy? Unfortunately, I did.”
“So you know about…” The fairy trailed off as Cassandra nodded sadly.
“I should’ve known. Everything he said, everything he did, makes sense now.”
Cassandra bit her lip. Blue patted her shoulder as they walked to the entrance of the building. “Is there anything else you want to talk about?”
The girl shook her head, opening the door. “It’s getting late. I better get going.”
“Be careful, Cassie.” Blue stood in the doorway as Cassandra began to walk down the stairs of the porch.
“Don’t let anyone know I’m here. Not yet.”
“I understand.”
Cassandra bid a farewell and then walked off in the night. She was the only one in the streets, but she could see a ‘welcome home’ celebration taking place in Granny’s diner. A slight wind began to pick up around the girl. Leaves trailed with it, catching Cassie’s attention. It began to flow towards Regina’s house. She blinked before quickly flying over to the window below Henry’s room; the end of the trail.
She looked up, pressed against the side of the house, as the window slid open. Henry leaned out the window, facing the docks. And then she heard the boy speak.
“She’s wrong. Magic is the answer. It’s time.”
And Cassandra felt the air change. The sound of a shadow hit her ears; making her eyes widen. Somehow, Henry was able to control Pan’s shadow. Her locket began to glow once more. She was right. Something about Henry was off.
