I only own Cassandra.
Cassandra watched as Henry read through his large book. It was one of the first things he showed to her upon their meeting, something he had great interest in. They hadn’t known each other long, but Cassandra had grown attached to the little boy.
Hook stood off in the distance, leaning against the cement wall. Thoughts were swirling around in his head. After the deadly battle with Cora, Regina hadn’t been the same. Neither had Emma. She had been reunited with her long-lost love, Henry’s father, Neal, when she had gone with Mr. Gold to find him.
Hook hadn’t realized that the young boy he met on the Jolly Roger many years ago was Rumplestiltskin’s son. So many people were connected to each other, it was almost comical.
“Henry?” Cassandra asked as the boy sipped his hot chocolate.
“Yeah?” He looked up at her, smiling.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure,” He said, focusing completely on the girl in front of him.
“Do you think that I am in the book?” She looked down at the picture of Snow White and Charming holding each other when their wedding was interrupted by the Evil Queen. “I mean, I’m not a part of Storybrooke, but do you think that maybe I am still included?”
Henry thought for a moment. “It’s hard to say. Dr. Whale is Dr. Frankenstein, but he isn’t in the book. I can check, but I don’t know.” He flipped through the pages, scanning each paragraph. After a few minutes, he looked up at Cassandra.
“There’s nothing here.”
Cassandra sighed. “I just…I just want to know why I’m here. I have no idea what the heck is happening with me, and I want to know.”
Hook watched as a tear slipped down the girl’s face. She wiped it away with her sleeve.
“I left behind everything to come here, I deserve to know who I really am.”
No one noticed the unwelcome visitor, Greg Mendel, eavesdropping from the bar. He scribbled notes down on a napkin.
“I’m sure you’ll figure it out, Cassie,” Henry replied, holding her hand from across the table. “I may not have known you for very long, but I know that you are strong. You will know everything soon, I promise.”
Cassandra chuckled sadly. “I suppose that you’re right, Henry. Thank you.”
…
“Now, focus on the energy running through your veins,” Blue instructed. She and Cassandra were out in the courtyard of the nunnery, trying to practice with Cassandra’s power.
Cassandra furrowed her eyebrows, her eyes closed. Her arm was outstretched. The locket around her neck began to glow, as did her tattoo. It had become a normality-both would glow, as well as her eyes (if they were open), when she used her power. It had been a week since Tinkerbell had left, and Blue kept telling Cassandra that she had made tremendous progress.
A light emanated from Cassandra’s palm. Blue watched as a flower bloomed right in her palm. It stretched toward the sun, soaking in the light. The petals turned a lovely shade of pink, and the leaves looked very healthy. This was just a warm-up, Blue planned for much more today.
Cassandra opened her eyes. They landed on the flower in her hand, and then she smiled. It was not the first time she had done it, but each time she kept getting better, and it just amazed her that she could ever accomplish such a thing.
“Wonderful. Now,” Blue pointed to a tree that was a few feet away. “Stretch the branches. Bend them to your will. Control the tree to the point that you can feel the chlorophyll surging through the leaves.”
