Two months later, Abigail and Kyle were at the end of their rope. Kyle's supplies and money were running low. They still haven't found Mindbender's lab or any sign of those new bio vipers. The teens were starving and exhausted. They're using the other as a crutch to help the other walk. They stumbled upon a farm outside Yellow Springs, Ohio.

"Kyle, do you see the pumpkin patch in front of us too?" Abigail asks.

"Yes, I do." Kyle answers.

The teens limp up to the pumpkin patch. A few seconds later, they pass out. Their combined weight breaks the fence, and they land with a splat as they hit the ripe pumpkins. Adure and her friend Jewel hear the strange sound while patrolling the farm. They decide to investigate and arrive to see the unconscious teenagers. Jewel rolls Kyle onto his back and wipes the pumpkin guts off the boy's face.

I don't believe it. Abigail found out where I live. We can finally be together. Adure thinks, rolling Abigail onto her back.

"Let's bring these poor kids inside the house," Jewel says.

A few hours later, Adure walks into Abigail's room with a food tray. She sets it on the nightstand. She looks down at Abigail and starts to fix her hair. Adure's touch was soft and comforting. Abigail thought her mom was there. She starts to wake up. The teen sees Adure's kind blue eyes, the same shade as tropical waters, straight, silky soot-black hair, and dark skin. She backed away quickly.

"Take it easy, sweetie; I promise you're safe here at my farmhouse. Your friend is safe too. He is resting in the room next to us." Adure says calmly.

"Thank you for your help, ma'am. We appreciate it very much." Abigail says as she slowly sits up.

"I brought you some food. I suggest that you eat it while it's still warm." Adure says as she sets the tray on her lap.

Abigail sees a plate with two slabs of barbecue ribs, a bowl of roasted garlic mashed potatoes, an ear of herbed corn on the cob, a tall glass of milk, and a huge chocolate chip cookie. She grabs the first slab of rips and tears through it like a hungry wolf.

"Slow down, sweetie. You don't want to get indigestion," Adure says.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but you know how much teenagers love food. Especially amazing food like yours. You are a great chief, by the way." Abigail says.

Adure leaves to let her guest eat in peace. She heads to the kitchen. Jewel walks a few minutes later with an empty tray.

"I have a strange feeling that those kids haven't had anything to eat in a few days," Jewel says.

"I noticed that with Abigail, too," Adure says.

"Are you sure that girl is your long-lost niece? I mean, she doesn't even recognize you." Jewel says.

"I'm sure, but I won't tell her I'm her aunt until she is back on her feet," Adure says.

"I don't think that you should wait that long. My instincts are telling me that they will leave before then." Jewel says.

Meanwhile, in the Coyote, the Joes tracked the teens with the com-link that Snake Eyes planted on Kyle's backpack. Duke makes a left turn onto the road Adure's house is on.

"I can't believe those two have gotten this far just on Kyle's supplies in his bag," Roadblock says.

"Kyle is a boy scout," Ripcord says.

"True. I hope that the kids are okay. We did promise Kyle's mom that we would find her son." Scarlet says.

The Joes suffer from whiplash when Duke slams on the brakes after Snakes Eyes jumps on the top of the truck. He sneaks and gets back in. Scarlet unbuckles her seat belt and walks over to him.

"Did you find them?" She asks.

*Yes, they're safe in the house a few miles up the road.* Snake Eyes signs back.

They sit back down. Duke presses on the gas, and they continue down the road. They finally reach the house a few minutes late. Duke gently presses on the brake as he turns into the driveway. Everyone gets out and walks up to the front door. Scarlet knocks, and they wait for the door to open. Adure opens it a few minutes later.

"Hello, Can I help you?" Adure says.

"Yes, I'm Scarlet. My friends and I are looking for a teenage boy. His name is Kyle. Have you seen him?" She says.

"Yes, I have. I found the boy and his girlfriend." Adure says.

Adure invites them in. They sit down in the living room. Adure leaves and comes back with a tray of food. The Joes thank her and start eating. They finish the tray a few minutes later.

"Thank you for the refreshments, ma'am," Scarlet says.

"You're welcome," Adure says.

In Abigail's room, she places the tray on the nightstand and gets out of bed. She looks around the room. She remembers when her mom told her about her bedroom in the house she and her sister grew up in one of her dreams.

This can't be my mom's old house, could i? That woman couldn't be my mom's sister Adure the orphanage told me I didn't have any living family members. Abigail thinks.

She leaves the room and walks down the hallway. The Joes look to their left and see her enter the room. Abigail shakes off the shock and walks into the living room.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Abigail asks.

"We're here to bring Kyle back home," Scarlet says.

"I hate to tell you this, Scarlet, but the only way you would be able to take him back is to Snake Eyes' knockout gas on him," Abigail says, seeing a serious look in Scarlett's eyes.

Scarlet gets up from her chair. She walks over to her.

"Abigail, I have something to tell you. The orphanage has kept a big secret from you. You have an Aunt." Scarlet says.

"Why didn't she adopt me when I was a kid?" Abigail asks.

"Trust me, Abigail. I tried everything I could to adopt you. The orphanage kept telling me that I couldn't because someone already did. " Adure says.

"They lied to you, ma'am. I was never adopted; I've been stuck there for ten years. " Abigail says.

Abigail finally connected the dots after a light bulb when off inside her brain. She steps closer to Adure and realizes why her touch reminded her of her mom's. Their touches felt the same because she and her mom were sisters.

"You and my mom grew up here, didn't you?" Abigail asks.

"Yes, we did. Abigail, you don't keep calling me ma'am. Please call me Aunt Adure." She says.

"You got it, Aunt Adure," Abigail says with a huge smile.

A few seconds later, Adure feels her niece giving her a big hug. She hugs her back. Abigail starts crying tears of joy. The reunion is cut short when Snake Eyes taps on the front window. Scarlet walks over to it.

*Cobra drones are headed this way* He signs.

Then Snake Eyes ninja streaks back over to the truck. Scarlet turns around and walks back over to the group. Adure dries the happy tears from her eyes. They turn to face her.

"What's wrong, Scarlet?" Abigail asks.

"Some Cobra Drones are headed this way, which means some bio vipers are far behind." Scarlett answers.

"Scarlett, are you telling me I must leave my family after finding them? I can't leave." Abigail says.

"Abigail, you have to. I'll be fine, I promise. After you and the Joes defeat Cobra, we can do things a normal family does." Adure says.

Abigail goes to Kyle's room. She tells him what's going on. They run to catch up with the Joes. Everyone piles into the Coyote, and they drive off. Abigail looks back at her aunt's house and smiles because she knows that once this battle is over, she finally has a home to return to.

Curse you, Cobra. I will make you pay for what you did to my family and me. Sorry, mom and dad, I know you always told me that revenge is never the answer. Now they have gone too far, and I won't let them get away with it. Abigail thinks.
