9-The Dare

Annabeth's POV

After English class was over, Thalia and me walked to my locker.

"Can I come home with you so we can go to Percy's together?"

"Yeah, sure,"

"Don't you have to tutor his brother?"

"Nope, Tuesdays and Fridays are my days off," I told her

"Oh great!"

We went home together and we changed from jeans to shorts, as always. We had a snack until it was time to go to Percy's.

We reached his house and knocked on the door.

"Hey guys," Nico said, gesturing for us to come in, "PERCY, THEY'RE HERE!" He shouted at Percy, whom I guessed was upstairs in his room. He came downstairs as Nico closed the door behind us. His face lit up when his eyes met mine and I blushed. I was still wearing his hoodie and I was planning on keeping it until he noticed it was gone.

"Hey," he said, I smiled at him and Thalia said hi. I dropped my bag and left it near the couch; Thalia did the same with hers.

About a minute later, Piper had arrived.

"Hey guys," she said smiling, "I brought brownies!" Percy and me glanced at each other and we smiled at the memory of our flour fight. He whispered 'I bet they're not as good as ours' to me, as Nico and Thalia grabbed one. Percy held my hand again and I felt the oxygen being sucked out of me. He carried me to the couch and we sat down as we waited for Jason to arrive, while the others were eating Piper's brownies. This time, I was lying down on the couch with my head on his legs. I could hear the others whispering about us but ignored it because right there, with Percy, I felt like I belonged.

A few minutes later, I heard Jason come in so Percy and me got up from the coach so we could go greet him. Piper and Thalia were staring at me, smirking. I rolled my eyes at them. They pulled me away as Jason came inside.

"You guys are so cute oh my gods!" Piper tried, but failed, to whisper.

"There's nothing going on between me and Percy," I told them with a straight face. I didn't even believe that myself.

"If you say so," Thalia said, smirking.

We started doing the project but since we also had class time to do it, we decided to stop after about an hour and a half because if we didn't, we wouldn't have anything to do during class.

The six of us just hang out for a while, eating brownies, watching TV, and doing random things. We were all getting pretty bored, until Piper spoke up.

"Guys, I know what to do!" We all gave our attention to her, "We can play Truth or Dare!" She said, excited to play.

"Yeah, that sounds fun," Nico agreed

"Anything sounds fun to me at this point," Jason said. Everyone else agreed and we sat on the carpet, forming a circle.

"I'll start," Thalia said, "Jason, truth or dare?" Piper sent her a warning look and Jason said "Truth,"

"Oh, come on, that's no fun!" Thalia complained but she thought about what to ask him, "Okay I got it! Jason, do you still have feelings for Reyna?" He looked at Piper, who blushed, and then smiled at her.

"I'm pretty sure I don't anymore," He shrugged and Piper smiled. It was Jason's turn now.

"Nico, truth or dare?" Nico thought about it for a moment but then said, "Dare". Jason smirked and said "You have to put flour on your face and leave it on for the rest of the game." Me and Percy exchanged glances again, trying to contain our laughter. Nico went inside the kitchen, threw flour on his face, and came back as we all laughed at him.

"I'll go next!" Piper said, "Percy, truth or dare?"

Percy chose Dare right away. Piper smirked. "Jump in the pool with your clothes on and stay there until the game is over." Everyone's mouths fell open as she said this, including mine.

"I will, but you guys have to sit outside to play or else I won't be part of it," he said and we agreed. We all went outside and watched him jump inside the pool. We sat down in the same circle, near the pool. I took Percy's hoodie off for the first time because it was too hot.

"My turn," Nico said. He stared at me and smirked. "Annabeth, truth or dare?" I bit my lip. I could see Nico had a dare in mind, so I went with it. "Dare," I told him.

"You all get to dare people except me!" Thalia complained and I rolled my eyes at her. Nico was staring at Percy, but then turned his attention back to me.

"Annabeth, you have to jump in with Percy." Once again, my mouth dropped. I should've chosen Truth. Percy was smiling at me. I glared at Nico.

"I'm gonna get you for this, Di Angelo,"

"My pleasure, Chase,"

They all watched as I jumped in. Percy swam over a bit closer to me and I smiled at him.

"Can I go again?" Jason asked, and we agreed,"Thalia, truth or dare?"

"Truth," she said, thinking it would make Jason sad, but instead, he smirked even more.

"Thalia, why do you hate Drew? I mean, we all do, but what is your reason?" Her reason was Nico, Piper and me knew that, but of course she wasn't going to say it.

"My reason is the same as yours. She's a bossy, annoying girl and all she does is make our lives impossible," She smiled at me and I winked at her.

"My turn now," Thalia said quickly before they asked anything else about Drew, "Percy, truth or dare? You better say dare." Percy was too scared of Thalia to say truth so he chose dare.

Thalia grinned and she whispered something to Piper, whose mouth fell open.

"Percy, you have to give Annabeth an underwater kiss," Again, all our mouths fell open, especially mine. They were all staring at us, waiting for Percy to kiss me, but my mouth was still open. I closed it quickly and looked at him. He held his breath and pulled me underwater. He gently held my face in his hand and then kissed me, and I kissed him back. It was magical; it was the best underwater kiss of all times. When we were out of breath, we went back up and I blushed because they were staring all along. I cleared my throat.

"Whose turn is it now?" I acted like nothing happened but Percy was still staring at me.

"Mine," he said, "Piper, truth or dare?" Piper chose truth and Percy thought for a few seconds.

"Do you have feelings for Leo Valdez?" Leo was Piper's best friend since they were kids, they were like brother and sister.

"No, of course not! He's like my brother," she said and I noticed Jason smiling.

The rest of the questions were all Truth because they were scared to get dares like the ones me and Percy got. After a while, the game got boring so we decided to stop, which meant we could get out of the pool, and Nico could get the flour off his face.

"We're gonna go put a movie on," Jason said, gesturing Piper to follow him.

"And I'm gonna get this thing off my face," Nico said, "Join me?" He asked Thalia who smiled and followed him back inside.

Percy got out of the pool and then extended his hand out to help me up. I grabbed it and once I was outside the pool, he quickly pulled me into another kiss. He held my face in his hands again and I wanted the kiss to go on forever, but we pulled away after a few seconds.

He smiled at me and held my hand again. We walked hand-in-hand back inside, and I noticed Nico and Thalia looking through the kitchen window.
