Chapter 24

[ C A R M E N ]

I paced back and forth in Tony's room, occasionally running my fingers through my hair. I was caught in between two decisions.

Either I could tell Tony about what happened, or I could keep my mouth shut and keep the both of us safe. There's no telling what the fuck Tony's father could do to us if I decided to open my mouth. I've lost to many things...if I screw this up will I lose Tony too ?

"Baby you walking around the room with that same blank stare on your face since you woke up this morning. What's the deal ?" I gave Tony a fake smile and shook my head, plopping down on the edge of the bed. If I fessed up now...I don't know what could happen..I'll just wait a little bit.

"I'm good baby, just bored." Tony gave me a weird look and pulled his shirt over his head. "You wanna do something then ?" I smiled a real smile this time and nodded, flinging my auburn hair over my shoulder. This is exactly what I needed, something to get my mind off of this bullshit..maybe I'm just being paranoid. Tony's father wouldn't do anything to hurt me.

As of lately, shit been going pretty good. Carmen got her an internship and shit and it's suppose to be bringing in some good money. While Carmen was out at work yesterday, I went with my moms to sort out our college shit. I haven't gotten around to telling her that we should be able to start soon.

Now that we ain't in highschool no more and live together, we don't have to go to the same college. Remember when you might've had a big ass relationship with somebody and was scared that y'all would get separated when college came ? Well, I didn't have that shit to worry about. I was already living with the love of my life. All I needed to do now was find us an apartment.

On a different note, Carmen been acting weird ever since last night. All I know is, she said she was going to get the cream cheese, then she came back..all funny acting and shit. When I asked her what was wrong she just smiled and said she was bored. Seeing that she had to work all yesterday, I thought she'd be tired as hell..but aye I didn't push shit. I figure if she has something to talk to me about then she'll come out when she ready. Feel me ?

We did our morning routines and found ourselves at the river walk. I haven't been since I was around 17, and it was weird to see it the exact same way it's always been.

"Anthony isn't that Chris ?" Carmen tugged on my hand and before I could tell her I don't like her calling me by my real name, Chris walked straight up to us.

"Aye nigga, funny seeing yo ass here." I gave him dap and smirked, seeing Nay next to him with her arm looped inside of his. The last time I checked, he was with Daynia. The hell ? Chris caught my look and sighed. "Didn't work out man. But I'm back with my real baby, I love her man." He pulled her closer and pressed a kiss to the side of her head.

Carmen walked off and came back with a chocolate shake, smiling at Chris and giving him a hug. After a little catching up, we walked off and waited for Jay and Sasha to meet up with us.

"Hey Tony.." I looked over the water and nodded my head towards Carmen, letting her know that I was listening. She paused and sipped at her shake before turning her attention back to me. "If you had a secret that might affect me, would you tell me ?" I thought for a minute and nodded my head.

I had already kept to many secrets from Carmen in the past that affected her. And one almost cost her her damn life.."Yeah baby. I think I've had too many fuck ups from my past and I learned from them. I wouldn't wanna hurt you more than what I've already done. But where is this coming from Ma ?" She shook her head and smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder.

"Just wanted to hear your answer...I love you." I shrugged and turned to face her, wrapping my arms around her and softly kissing her juicy ass lips. "I love you too cammy."

After about a hour later, we finally found Sasha and Jay. Sasha pregnant ass wobbled every time she walked, and Jay had to hold her by the small of her back to keep her from falling backwards.

To be pregnant, she sho ain't dress like it and I wanted to smack her little fast ass. Even though she was grown now..all of us were.

She had on black shorts that came waaaay up past her knees and a black shirt that hugged the hell out of her stomach. You could tell that she was about to have her lil nigga soon.

"Bitch why you out here half dressed ?!" Carmen had a smile on her face, but was still trying to scold Sasha. "Aye Mexican ass hoe, it's too hot to not be dressing like a stripper." Jay shook his head and I chuckled as we started our walk, seeing various people that we knew. On the way, we got elephant ears and icecream. (And Sasha fat ass ate almost ALL of it !)

We were finally sitting down on a bench, watching the late night fireworks they were lighting for whatever reason. Out of no where, Sasha started breathing heavy as hell. She kept complaining that she heard a pop and felt something warm sliding down her legs.

"Babe ? Babe what's wrong ?!" Jay kept asking what was wrong as he squeezed her hand, and me and Sasha checked for signs to see what was wrong. Then it all made sense, and me and Carmen looked at each other as we spoke simultaneously.

"Her water broke."
