The palace was bustling with energy that could not be compared to any other. Preparation for the royal wedding between the King of Yaznak and the Crown Princess of Nagnaz was the only thing on the minds of the servants in the palace. The Nagnazese had not felt this kind of happiness in a long time because the once deceased Princess was back. But the question on the minds of the people of both Yaznak and Nagnaz was;

Where did the Crown Princess come from all of a sudden after almost thirteen years of being dead?

The groom himself was laying on the couch in his room, thinking. Thinking about a certain black-haired assassin, who had appeared in each of his dreams since she left the palace. He tried to keep track of her whereabouts but it was like she had disappeared from the face of the Earth. No trace of her anywhere. And none of the children.

Just for safety's sake, he had added her on the list as three different people;
Jade Jasoum, Lady Ianina Janor, and Iris. For some unknown reason, he couldn't wait to see her. He wondered why every single time he was sitting idle he thought of her. Even if he felt anything for Jade he had to get rid of it because he was getting married to someone else in some hours.

To Crown Princess Iris Jade Amuoor I.

Why did she have the same names as Jade? he always wondered. Maybe the gods were helping him forget the first Jade by giving him a second Jade. He sighed. For his kingdom, he'd do anything, even marry someone he had never met and give up his future love interest.

AMON

I stood at the altar, waiting for my bride. Prominent people, important kingdom officials, my family and some people from Nagnaz were present to witness the ceremony. But no Jade. I sighed. Dressed in my royal robes, I stared at the doors, apprehensive. Right then the musicians began playing the traditional Yaznakan/Nagnazese mix bridal march.

The door opened. A woman with her linked in King Nazir's arm walked in. They walked to the altar and King Nazir gave his daughter's Mehendi designed to hand to me, as a sign that he was entrusting his daughter into my hands. I turned to her. From the bridge of her nose down to her chin was covered with a veil letting me see her familiar blue eyes only. After that point, the ceremony flowed and by the time I realized it was time to say the vows and I had to say mine first.

"I, Amon Raqar Ankham IV, King of Yaznak, promise to love you, cherish you, care for you and be there for you. I promise to stand by your side in failure and in success, in sickness and in health, in weakness and in strength. I promise to protect you, defend you and support you till the end of time."

"May it be so as you have said," the priest said, then,

"Princess Iris Jade?"

She nodded and cleared her throat and began with a voice that sounded so familiar.

"I, Iris Jade Amuoor I, Crown Princess of Nagnaz, promise to love you, cherish you, care for you and be there for you. I promise to help you in all your endeavors. I promise to stand by your side in failure and in success, in sickness and in health, in weakness and in strength. I promise to support you, walk with you through life's challenges and love you till the end of time," she said in a quiet voice.

"May it be so as you have said. The bride may now reveal herself to the groom, this marriage has been greatly blessed by the great gods."

Slowly her hands moved from her sides to her face. Even more slowly she pulled the veil from her face, a familiar face that had a victorious smirk on it.
