Finn was resting after all day of working. While he was waiting for his parents to pick him up from the set, he was watching some document on Netflix to kill some time. He wasn't paying attention to it, though. The truth is, he couldn't wait to just fall on his bed and go to sleep. It's been a long day.
His tiredness wasn't caused by working.
It was caused by scenes he shot today with Millie. Usually he had more scenes with boys, but today's schedule seemed to be almost like a bad joke. Like whatever god was up there... That god was making fun of him. Definitely.
All day of pretending to be a boyfriend of the girl he tried so hard to forget.
And Finn had enough. It was just impossible to not feel anything, no matter how professional he wanted to be. It wasn't easy for him after everything that happened between them.
It hurt so much when she was with Jacob. He didn't show it on the outside, but it hurt to see her in his arms. And maybe she was single now, but that didn't mean that suddenly everything was okay. Sometimes it was hard for him to even be with her in the same room.
How pathetic that he still loved her, even when she had a boyfriend.
How weird that it felt like maybe he loved her less when she was single.
Why? Why did he feel like this? Why now? She wasn't in a relationship anymore and maybe he could have a chance to be with her. Why didn't he want it?
What was wrong with him, he thought, hiding his face in his hands. He quickly snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of opening the door.
There she was.
He looked up from the screen when Millie went inside the trailer. She walked up slowly to the couch and sat down next to him.
'What are you watching?' she asked quietly, trying to suppress a yawn.
'Some document. It's coming to an end actually.' he said, looking back at the screen.
'Uhmm.' she sighed tiredly. It looked like she was as tired as him, as she leaned her head on his shoulder and her eyes fluttered shut.
And out of nowhere, he suddenly felt uncomfortable. She has been doing it for years, hugging him or leaning her head on his shoulder whenever she got a chance to do it, but that was the first time he wasn't okay with it. She felt him tensing against her head. Then he shifted a little, crossing his arms on his chest so her head was no longer resting on him.
'Finn? What's wrong?' she asked, her brows furrowed in confusion. It was weird, he never seemed to have a problem with hugs and things like that.
'Nothing.' he said, not looking at her.
'Come on, tell me.'
'I told you. Nothing's wrong.' he said, exasperated. His gaze was still glued to the screen.
'Finn!' she said with irritation.
'What!' he turned himself toward her and finally looked her in the eyes.
'Tell me what happened.' she said, trying to touch his arm, but he flinched. Her eyes widened.
'You. That's what happened. You're acting weird.' he said.
'Weird? I act normal, it's you who is acting weird.' she said, raising her eyebrow.
'I'm just tired.' he said simply.
'Yeah, me too, but-' she started, but he cut her off.
'No, you don't understand. I'm tired of you.' he said sternly, closing his laptop and setting it on the table.
