C h a p t e r 6

Jenn's pov

School was finally over and I couldn't wait to go with Aiden. Walking to the front door, i take out my phone and call uncle Mike. "Hey Uncle Mike." "Hey princess " I smile. "Well I just wanted to tell you that Aiden had asked me if I wanted to go somewhere with him after school, and i already said yes but i wanna ask you if I can go."

He sighs. "baby I just met him today. Let's say this, how about i pick you two up after school and cook dinner?" I smile and nod my head. "Ok uncle Mikey. That actually sounds good. I know I'm your baby and you wanna protect me so thank you for for letting him come over." "No problem baby. Look I'm almost at the school. I'll call you when I'm outside."

And with that he hangs up. I stand at the door until someone comes up next to me. "well look who it is." "Aiden you must love sneaking up on me." I say and try to look innocent. "You look so cute when you try to look innocent" and with that he puts his fingers under my chin and lifts my head up.

I begin to pout and poke my lip out. His eyes shoot from my eyes to my lips. Licking my lips, he watches my every move like a hawk. Oh yeah, I remember what Uncle Mike said. "Aiden, uncle Mike said that instead of us going out somewhere today, we could go to my house and he will cook."

"That's cool. I can't wait." And with that, my phone rings. I pull it out, and see uncle Mike's name pop up. Answering it, I say "hey Uncle Mike. Are you outside?" "Yeah." "Ok here I come" and with thay i hang up.

"Aiden, uncle Mike is outside. Let's go." We walk outside and head to the car. Opening the door I put my bookbag on my lap. Aiden closes his door and we start driving. Uncle Mike's phone starts to ring while we are at a stop light and he answers. "Hello." "Look. We had an agreement. Just leave us alone." And with that he hangs up and hits the wheel hard, making the horn sound.

"Uncle Mike is everything ok?" He just keeps driving and eventually speaks up. "No. Your mother called. She wants to speak to you." I start to panic. "I don't want to speak to her!" We pull up to the house and I get out, grabbing my bag and head to the door. Aiden hasn't said a word, and I'm sure he is being very observant.

"Princess, I know that. She keeps calling though." He says and I grab his phone, put my print in and go to the call log and press on her number. Not even a few seconds later, she answers. "Mike have you changed your mind?" I begin to get mad. "Look LeeAnn, I don't want you in my life. I don't want to see you or speak to you. This is the last time you will hear my voice, so I hope you savor it" and with that, I hang up the phone and block her number. "Here. She won't bother us anymore. I blocked her number." I hand the phone over to uncle mike and he grabs it and goes to the kitchen to start cooking.

I grab Aiden's hand and walk to my room. "That was your mom?" He says as I jump on my bed face first. I nod and he sighs then sits down on my bed. "I have a twin brother." Well that's news to me. "What's his name?" "Grayson. We are both 18 and are exactly alike. My mom died when we were 14 and she was 28. My dad changed. He treats Grayson like he's better then me. Grayson always tells me, when we get enough money we can move." I look down and take in what he's saying.

I then come to a plan and just hug him. "Aiden you are one of a kind." I say and we both laugh. "Dinners ready!" Uncle Mike yells from down the stairs. "Alright buttercup, I guess we better go eat. I'm hungry." I say and rub my belly. He just laughs and grabs my hands, walking us to the door.
