"What just... How did I... Why did he... Where are we going?"
I followed Jungkook out of the meditation room, but my mind was still lingering on what just happened. That was just some ninja shit that I just pulled and I have no clue how I did it.
"Glad you finally formed a sentence." Jungkook said as he continued to head in the direction that Christian went. He didn't even glance back at me. "We're going into the private training room."
There was another door not far from the meditation room that Christian disappeared into. How many side rooms are there in this place? But at least no one could see me get my ass kicked again in the private training room. I followed Jungkook through the door and closed it behind me. My feet felt sand again, but this sand was more coarse than the soft, fine sand in the meditation room. I was surprised that I could tell the difference right away.
The room was about the same size as the meditation room, but there was no waterfall and there were fewer plants. A small pond of water stood in one corner of the room, a few plants were scattered along the walls of the room. A few different sized rocks were scattered around the room randomly. A glass ceiling provided the main source of light in the room while a few dimly lit lights lined the walls of the room. There was a long wall-mounted rack on the wall near the door that held different weapons. I walked over to the rack and eyed the different weapons. Some were wooden and dull, but some were real and looked sharp.
As I eyed the swords, I heard Christian's annoyed voice call from the other side of the room.
"The sooner you pick out your weapon, the sooner we can get started."
I felt something lightly poke my back and I spun around to see Jungkook holding a Katana sword up. He gave me a smirk as he handed it to me. The weight of it told me that it's a real sword and not a blunt or wooden sword. I unsheathed the sword to reveal a clean, shining blade.
"Don't worry, you won't be doing any hard combat today." Jungkook said as he turned and walked into the small arena where Christian stood. Is he practicing, too?
I followed Jungkook into the open space, careful not to trip over the rocks scattered throughout the arena. I noticed that there were no rocks in the very center of the arena or near the wall of weapons.
Christian began his lesson, which was mostly focused on balance. Jungkook was participating, but it seems like he's already done this before. I have a lot of questions for him, but for the time being, I just did what I was instructed to do by Christian.
A couple of hours went by rather quickly before Christian had to leave. He murmured something about a mistake in the scheduling of lessons for the day before he walked out, leaving Jungkook and I by ourselves.
"So, does this mean the lesson is cut short?" I asked.
Jungkook shrugged as he swung his katana sword around in his hands.
"We can make use of the time and practice." He said before he stopped swinging the sword and looked over at me. "But I could also show you a couple of things that he's taught me already."
I raised an eyebrow as I watched him walk over to me. "Why are you taking this lesson when you've clearly done this before?"
Jungkook stopped just a couple of feet away from me and looked down at me. "It's been a while." He began, his eyes scanning the room as he spoke. "I'm the newest and youngest member of the group. When I joined, I started out training to become an assassin. I learned everything very quickly, so they had me learning more and more things until Namjoon noticed me. He asked me if I wanted to join him since he's looking for a new assistant to help run the business. I couldn't pass it up. Namjoon's family was close to mine, so I felt like I had to help him out. Four years went by and then Christian, one of my mentors who I looked up to, got injured doing a job that no one else came out of alive. I only started getting back into training about a month before you came into the picture. Even though I've learned all of this before, I still need to learn it again as though I've never done it before."
