Amie's POV:
It's the third of June and my eyes are barely open yet. The summer sun shines through my window, making my eyes hurt, and that's when I realise - it's my birthday today - I'm finally eleven years old! Not that it matters very much - not to my parents anyway. My dad is a work-oholic and barely has time for me at all, and my mum doesn't have a job, because of me. My parents met in high-school and were very popular, until I came around. See, my parents didn't plan to have a child, and they were only teenagers when mum got pregnant with me. How do I know this, you might ask? My mum constanly reminds me that I was an accident, and that they didn't want me. Anyhow, my grandparents refused to let mum have an abortion, and forced mum and dad to marry instead, something mum resents them for. I on the other hand love them, because they are the only ones in my family who loves me. I especially love my grandma, she's the best and always knows how to cheer me up when I'm sad. I only have one set of grandparents, my father's parents died when I was little. I don't know why my mum is mad at her parents for anyways - my mum and dad are happy together, and very much in love.
Since it's my birthday, it isn't hard to get out of bed and go downstairs. My dad is obviously already at work, but my mum's sitting in the kitchen, reading the newspaper. She mutters something about lunatics driving off the edge of a cliff, when she notices me standing by the door.
"Up now, are you?" she says, not with her usual annoyed voice. It sounds as she's just teasing me, and it fees weird. It confuses me, to say the least.
"Yes, why?" I answer her question, frowning.
"I just thought you'd be up at the crack of dawn, since it's your birthday, but it's nine o'clock." she says with a shrug, as if it's nothing.
"Oh, okay." I say, sitting down at the table to prepare my breakfast. I take a bowl, pour some milk and cereals into it, and start eating. I can feel my mum watching me, so I wait patiently for her to say something.
"A letter came for you this morning, brought by - if you can believe it - an owl." my mum, Anne, says.
"What did it say?" I ask, because I assume she's already read it.
"I've been dying to find out. Open it!" she says excitedly, throwing a letter over the table. I catcht it before it falls into my bowl of cereals. On top of the letter it says;
"Ms. A. Jones
The bedroom on the top floor
9 Keystone Crescent
London, England"

Okay, so there you have it! My first ever chapter of any book on Wattpad!
Never thought I would write something here, but there you have it.
And if you're wondering where I got the street from, basically I just searched on Google maps for any street in London and chose that one. Probably only cuz it's close to Kings cross. I have absolutely no idea where I'm going with this. I'm using readfreeonline.net for the Harry Potter things of the story, just to let you know. Any questions? Just comment, and I will figure out how to see it, the comments I mean, I haven't figured this whole thing out yet. Bye!
THIS IS A FAN FICTION WRITTEN MOSTLY FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF HP-FANS. ONLY AMIE JONES AND HER FAMILY BELONGS TO ME SO FAR, THE REST OF THE CARACTERS YET TO BE BROUGHT TO THE STORY BELONGS TO JK. ROWLING.
