Time

"Elizabeth Marie, I love you more than words can say. I promise I will love you every single day, baby there isn't any way I could go time without you. So, will you wear this promise ring and that I have gotten you, and tell everybody that you are my boo?" he pulled the promise ring out of the box and slid it onto my finger, tears streaming down my face,

"Ethan, I love you so much! I don't know what to say!" I jumped into his arms and kissed him repeatedly,

"Did you write that poem?" I asked him as he put me down; he nodded with a smile and his cheeks rosy pink. I held out my hand to look at my ring, it was a silver band that read 'Together Forever' on the front, then if you flip it around it has' Marie&Ethan' on the other side,

"I finally got you a ring, you're mine forever" he whispered to me, he was about to kiss me but I pulled away,

"Were at school remember?" I said as I pushed him off me, looking around to see if any teachers saw us,

"It doesn't matter baby, nobody sees us" he tried to convince me, pulling be back into him,

"This is why none of the teachers like you" I said rolling my eyes, he didn't joke back. For some reason he doesn't like joking about school or talking about it lately,

"Hey babe, are you okay?" I asked quietly, pulling him closer to me to hopefully get his attention,

"I'm fine princess, I'll see you after class" he said kissing me softly on my nose, then he walked down the hall to his first class. 

I looked down at my boney, pale finger to see my ring. It was so shiny, I'm with him forever. It's basically like we are engaged, right? 

"Time, ain't nothin, but time. It's a verse with no rhyme, and it all comes down to you."

We are going to fast forward now, it's almost graduation.Ethan and I have been doing fine the past few months, just working past our issues we've had. Within the past few months Ethan got another tattoo, he tried to talk me into another but I simply stated the one I have is enough for me right now. We haven't really changed that much. Rumours about me and Ethan spread fast. Rumours about the promise ring, rumours about me being pregnant, and of course everyone found out about Ethan and Lindsay. It has been almost been a year since I found out Ethan cheated. Time has really flown by. We are about to graduate, start our lives together, everything is happening so fast...

I almost couldn't see him as he was down on one knee, tears blurring my vision,

"Marie, 11 months ago I gave you a promise ring. Today I'm asking you, will you marry me?" this time he had tears in his eyes, I leaned down and kissed him repeatedly, he smiled,

"I guess that's a yes?" he asked as he was trying to catch his breath, I didn't answer I kept kissing him. He sat me down on the hard, wooden bench in the middle of the park, all without breaking the kiss. It was so passionate, so real, I love him so much. I was running out of breath fast, I broke the kiss to catch my breath. This gave him time to slip the big, princess cut diamond ring onto my finger,

"Ethan, this is perfect. Oh my goodness I love you so much, you make me the happiest girl in the world!" I said in between breaths and trying to fight back my tears,

"Marie, you have no idea how much I love you. Come on; let's take a walk, then we can head back to my place" he stood up, pulling me along with him,

"Why did I wear my stilettos tonight?" I mumbled to myself, my feet are killing me,

"Hang on baby-" he yanked me backwards, he slipped off his Vans and picked me up making my heals fall off my feet,

"-There you go princess" He bent down to pick them up, after I put on the shoes he grabbed my hand again and we started walking. He is so perfect; he knows how to treat me.

Before we got inside he told me he had yet another surprise for me tonight. "Ethan, I've had enough surprises for tonight" I grumbled as he held his freezing cold hands over my eyes,

"This one is good" he assured me,

"Okay" he said as he pulled his hands away, I was in his living room. I looked down at the table, there were candles, flower pedals, movies, snacks, and blankets,

"Wanna stay here tonight, love?" he asked, his eyes sparkled as he gazed down into my eyes. I nodded as I slipped my phone out of my pocket to text Alice,

'Hey Al, I'm staying over at Ethan's house. I'll be home in the morning before school...maybe' I hit the send button, nervous to get my reply,

"Don't worry about that tonight, honey" he whispered in my ear, he was standing behind me as he wrapped his arms around me. He grabbed my phone and turned it off, tossing it onto the table but quickly returning his arms to my waist. He kissed my neck, I turned around to face him, and I rubbed my nose against his and let out a sigh,

"Movie time?" I asked as I kissed him softly and shrugged my shoulders up, he nodded and pushed me down onto the couch. He grabbed the blanket and wrapped us up together, he clicked on the TV but we weren't paying attention. We were talking about our future life together, where to live, wedding, kids. This was all so perfect, I can't believe I'm getting married,

"I don't want to fall asleep, whenever I fall asleep in your arms I wake up and I'm away from you. Promise me you'll keep me all night, please" he nodded to assure me he heard me; he ended up falling asleep before I did. I fell asleep shortly after he did his arms tightly around me made me feel so safe.
