Chapter 29 ~ Happy For Them

"I'm not bringing him"  Roman says on the other end of the phone.
"C'mon, Roman! What?  Are you ashamed of him?"  Patton says, holding the phone between us.  We currently sit on the couch, talking to Roman on speakerphone about hanging out today.  I tut, hitting Patton gently on the shoulder.  Patton laughs.
"No, I'm ashamed of you guys" Roman replies defensively, me and Patton laugh at him.
"Please, Ro, just bring Thomas so we can meet him!" I say into the phone.
"Uuugghhh fine!" Roman groans, I smile wide.  "I'll bring him, but please, no weird or invasive questions, Virgil, don't be depressing, Patton, just, be you but tone it down a little bit, and tell Logan try not talk about work."  I laugh.
"Alright, Roman, we'll see you soon!" I say before he hangs up.  I high five Patton, both of us still laughing.

Patton and I are hosting the event.  We're just setting up the Playstation when I get a text from Logan.

I've got them both! 

I smile at the screen.  "Who was that?" Patton asks, testing the controller.
"Logan, he's got Roman and Thomas and they're on their way over"  I say, shaking my head with a grin.

A few minutes later, there's a knock on the door.  I pull away from Patton's lips and smile as I get up to answer it. 
"Hey guys!" I say as I open the door.  Logan gives me a wave and a smile and enters the house.  Behind him stands Roman, who's holding hands with a man.  He's handsome.
"Hey Virge, this is Thomas, Thomas, this is Virgil"
"Nice to meet ya" Thomas says, grinning and offers his hand, I shake it and stand aside to let them both in.  Thomas walks ahead, and I grab Roman's shoulder.
"Thank you for bringing him" I say.
"Yeah, yeah, be normal please" He responds.  I sigh and shake my head.
"Aw, that means Patton can't do his clown bit he's been working on."  I say with a mock frown.  Roman's eyes widen.  "I'm kidding" I say.  He pushes my shoulder and proceeds to follow his boyfriend into the living room, where he's introducing himself to Patton. 
"So, how did you meet?"  Patton asks the couple after they sit down. 
"Acting class actually,  we were partnered and I picked a few scenes for us to do" Thomas answers.  He's a nice guy.  I can tell why Roman likes him.  I'm glad he's found happiness, makes me feel better about... well.
"All the scenes he chose included us kissing" Roman says with a laugh, intertwining his fingers with his boyfriend's.  Thomas blushes and looks down.
"He's just so handsome, and awesome, an amazing actor" Thomas says.  Myself, Patton and Logan all smile at them, bless.
"I'm very glad we got partnered" Roman finishes.  They look at eachother with eyes full of love, and kiss quickly.
"Roman's told me a lot about you guys, how did you two meet?" Thomas asks, looking at me and Patton.
"Oh, friends for a long time, ended up developing into more than that."  Patton answers simply, before kissing me on the cheek.  I blush.

Logan ends up destroying all of us at Mario Kart.  We all eat way too much pizza.  It ends up being a great night.  Thomas is a great guy.  I'm happy for them.  Logan doesn't talk about work too much, Patton is mostly calm, and I'm not too depressing, how could I be?  I'm surrounded by people I love. 

That night, I lay close to Patton, his fingers carding gently through my hair.
"Goodnight, I love you, baby"  He whispers, I assume he thinks I'm asleep.
"I love you too, night" I whisper back, feeling him kiss the top on my head, smiling against it, and listening as his breaths slow and he falls asleep.
