Alex's point of view

Yes I left her at Paul's. My original plan was to find out who Paul was and then rough him up. It seeing he was just her mechanic I had to improvise.

So I left her. It wasn't a great plan but I was short on ideas wondering why she was there. I so wanted to see her face when she realizes her ride back to sc kohool vanished. Plus it's not like she enjoyed riding on bike. Whenever she said go slow I kept increasing my speed.

Jace, her brother asked me where she was so I told him she had to stay and told me she will get back herself. He didn't seem bothered about it, which was very odd. I mean if my sister went with a total stranger and he shows up without her I would've went ballistics.

Still he seemed like a nice guy. I had last 3 classes with him when he told me that he was actually older than all of us. Story is that he fell very sick in 6th grade and had to repeat his school year so that's why he was in same year as us.

"Don't you think Maia should've be back by now?" I asked. She was gone longer than I anticipated. I hope she is fine. Sure I want to make her miserable but I also wanted her alive for it.

"Oh she will be back when she wants to be. She loves to disappear without explanations"

Sounds selfish. Just like her.

So I left it at that.

Jace and I were walking in corridor when Livia ran up to us saying "she's back" and then ran out of building.

"I knew that little shit had to show off. It's all dad's fault." Jace muttered and started walking towards parking. I obviously followed to see what all of this was about.

What I saw? I think if Hades himself rose from underworld it would've been less surprising.

There she was. Leaning against most beautiful vehicle made in history.

That's what she went to Paul's for?

God I underestimated her. All the time she was asking me to slow down was a big joke for her. And here I was thinking I shook her up pretty good when I made those sharp turns on those hills.

As I moved closer I saw her smirking. Oh I knew this was for my benefit.

"I see details came out good" jace said to her beside me which made her break her turn away from me.

"Of course they did. I paid a fortune for them" she said proudly.

"You paid for this yourself?" Livia asked.

"Please . Dad paid for this. She only paid restoration fee" jace said pouting.

"Unlike you brother of mine I paid something. Your on the other hand driving mom's charity" she taunted.

"When did you changed?" parked asked looking up and down at her.

She was now wearing ripped jeans, a tank and a pair of boots. She had a leather jacket hooked on her bike's handle as well. She missed school to go shopping?

She just shrugged. "Race you home brother?"

"Remember dad's only condition?"

"I... Not really" she tried to play dumb and quickly got on her bike.

"Hey. How about a ride home?" Parker said quickly before she could put her helmet on.

"On. Ask jace. Alec however, can join me. I promise to go slow" she taunted but before anyone could reply she zoomed out.

Damn it . I've never been more jealous of a girl.

Looks like I have to up my game to get to her.

A/N- Here's a teaser from next chapter

Maia's point of view

If she wasn't there through my pre-teen years I probably would've killed myself or my mother. She promised me to take me to a strip club when I turn 18.
