Alec's point of view.

I was so mad at Maia. I can't believe she did that. The first half of the practice went normally. Then in 10 minutes break everyone checked their phones and started congratulating me on 'Nailing' Maia. Thankfully couch interrupted before I could knock out their teeth for speaking about her that way.

Natasha Came up to talk to me but I was able to shrug her off saying we'll meet tomorrow and talk. We just kissed once and she was behaving like a cheated girlfriend. She just can't stand the fact that everyone thinks I choose Maia over her.

Not that I need to but If I had a choice I would gladly choose Maia over her. If all this situation wasn't so messed up. I she wasn't Mark's Maia.

I need to stop myself.

She is Mark's Maia. And that's the end of it.

It was almost 6 when coach finally dismissed us. I felt like dying. I shouldn't have slept late last night knowing I had practice. I need to manage my schedule better. I went out thinking how far I have to go to take the bus back home. Since my teammates were still behaving like assholes about the Maia rumor I don't feel like asking them for a ride.

Just as I went out of the gym I saw Jace standing with a not so happy expression. Livia was right beside him drinking water from a bottle wearing sunglasses. They were talking quitely but stopped when they saw me coming.

"Have you seen her since this morning?" Liv asked her voice was a little hoarse.

"Who Maia?"

"Yes. Weren't you with her last night?" Jace asked clenching his fists.

"I swear nothing happened last night. Whoever started those rumors was just trying to damage her reputation further." I explained holding my hands up. I was hoping he won't punch me or something. Worse he could tackle me to the ground which won't be pretty for me since he is quarter back of his team.

"You didn't sleep with Maia?" Liv asked shocked.

"No. Didn't she tell you when you asked her?"

"We didn't asked her. We assumed that the rumors were true."

"What's wrong with you people? Do you remember she is your best friend?" I shouted at Liv. How can they do this to Maia?

"Don't talk to her that way." Jace interrupted.

"Oh you are defending her. Have you ever tried to defend Maia? Do you know she is getting bullied not by just students but by her teachers too. Do you know she was a verge of a break down last night when I took her away because Liv was being stupid and she thought that was her fault."

"What are you talking about?"

"I don't know what but you said something to her last night that she was considering moving to Paris because she isn't a good influence or a good friend." I told them. how can they be so unfair to her. How can anyone misunderstand someone you call a sister and a friend.

"I don't remember what I said to her last night. But what we said to her this morning will definitely make her want to relocate to Paris." Liv said covering her face.

"Liv we just need to find her. Then we can apologize together." Jace held her face in his hand trying to calm her down.

"What do you mean-" I stopped mid sentence when my phone rang. It was from an unknown number. "This isn't over. I want to know what you said to her." I said to them and turned around to pick up the phone, leaving them both to look at each other with guilty expression.

"Hello."

"Alec. It's me Molly. I don't know if you remember but I am Maia's god mother's nurse."
