18. She had no friends

Alec's Point of View.

I was still fuming about what Mark told me regarding their conversation on phone. When I followed Jace into his house trying to find Maia as she took a sick day today. Livia and Parker were right behind me. I don't know what happened between Jace and Liv cause neither of them agreed to talk about it.  Liv worked her magic on Parker and dragged him here so he and Maia can talk about their differences. I basically came here to yell at Maia for everything she said to mark and watch the drama unfold as she and Parker talk.

"What the hell?" I heard Parker say from the living room. I went in and saw him and Liv staring at the couch with their mouth open in shock. Jace and I turned around and saw Andrew and Maia sleeping. They were completely tangled together his head was resting on her chest and she had her arms about him. What the hell?

"Dude why are you cuddling with my sister?" Jace yelled. Andrew woke up and looked at us wide eyed.

"It's not how it seems like." 

"What's wrong?" Maia asked rubbing her eyes.

"So this was the date you were telling Mark about?" I asked trying to contain my anger.

"What are you talking about?"

"First my brother and now my best friend? Really?" Parker said with disgust.

"Maia I brought Parker here so you guys can clear the air but you just had to make everything more complicated." Livia snapped.

"Liv what are you talking about? What happened?" Maia was clearly worried from Liv's reaction. Well it was too late to be worried now.

"At least you could go to your room for whatever you guys were doing in living room. Were you even sick Maia? was it just a lie so you can stay home for this?" Jace asked.

"For how long you guys were sneaking behind our back?" Parker asked yelling. Everyone kept asking question but Maia kept looking down her hands in a fist and shaking.

"Shut up. Shut up everyone. You have no right to judge the situation you know nothing about." Andrew shouted.

"Let it be Drew."

"But Maia how can they say all these thing to you? how can you let them?"

 "They are finally telling me what they think of me." Maia said with her voice carefully void of all emotions.

"I am telling them Maia. I can't hear all these accusations they are putting on you."

"Most are well deserved. If you want to tell them then do it for you. Not me. Don't worry this is nothing I can't handle."

"Just because you can doesn't mean you should."

"Whatever. It's your decision." Maia held Andrew's hand and gave him a quite smile.

"Explain Andrew. What was happening here?" Liv commanded.

"Why are you interested in an explanation Liv? Why don't you just more accusations at her? It clear none of you are interested in explanation."

"What's there to explain? Like Mark, like Shane, like me she managed to trap you too." Parker said.

"Each and everyone of you is a pathetic excuse of friendship. But since Maia still cares about all of you I'll explain. There is nothing going on between Maia and I. She never trapped me. She can't because I am gay."

"What?" Everyone said together. Now this is a surprise.

"Yes. This morning Maia called cause she was sick and knew Liv had and exam and Jace had practice and Parker wasn't talking to her. I came here with medicine and cake and saw she was"

"Drew." Maia warned but he ignored her.

"- crying because she just talked to Mark. I was just comforting your sister Jace not feeling her up because all the time she spent supporting other, supporting me there is no one to support her. I never realized that she had no friends until now." Andrew finished.

"I told you to leave me out of it." Maia yelled at him.

"I just want them to understand what they think is wrong. I want them to see what an amazing person you are." Andrew was shocked with her sudden attack towards him even thought he was only one on her side.

"What about what I want. I am not an amazing person. I slept with Shane knowing about Parker. I am not even sorry. I've sabotage Liv last relationship and I don't regret it, I always turn dad against Jace to get what I want just for the hell of it. And let's not forget Mark. I've ruined his life. Broken his trust, his heart and you know what? I don't even care." She sneered at me. "You wanted to know if I regret breaking up with him? Alec? Here's your answer. If given a chance I would break up with him again in a heartbeat. So there you see. I am not an amazing person."

"Maia." Drew said as she stormed out.
