Livia's Point of view.

I was looking for Maia all over the parking lot but neither her nor her bike (that I named pumpkins) was anywhere in sight. I was about to give up when Jace's challanger rolled in. just as he got out I saw him scan the parking lot. he looked worried untill he saw me and smiled with relief. what was that? i thought rushing over to him.

"Where's Maia?" we asked each other. What the Hell? why was he asking me?

"I am not in mood for one of your awful prank Jace. Tell me where is your sister"

"I don't know. She never came home last night. I thought she stayed with you."

"Last I saw her she was walking away from you"

"Olivia-"

"It's Livia! My name is Livia. not Olivia"

"but Olivia makes more sense" here we go again. I can't be involved in this 17 year long discussion about how my parents forgot to write O on my birth certificate. Especially not when my best friend was missing.

Last time I saw Maia she was pissed and she is reckless when she is anger or upset or excited. OK she is reckless all over. Especially since Mark isn't her to hold her back from her digging herself an early grave.

"What's up? Why are you frowning Livia?" Alec said. Wait a minute. Where did he came from?

"I am asking this dimwit where his sister is" I informed him still glaring at Jace.

"I told you she never came back home"

"What? but Last night I left her at"

"Wait a minute. You were with her last night." Jace interrupted just when he was about to give us some vital information regarding Maia. What's wrong with this boy? Just when Alec was about to answer we saw rolling in the parking lot. I think I saw that car somewhere before.

When the door opened and Maia stepped down I saw Shane sitting in. Oh that's why I recognized this car. When Maia retrieved her bag from the back seat he said something to Maia in her ear then drove off.

Fuck.He's one handsome bastard.

As Shane and his car disappeared I focused on my best friend. Oh Maia. What did you do now? I thought to myself as she approached us.

If only one person could look good doing the walk of shame it's Maia McQueen Ladies and gentlemen.

She had a larger cup of star buck in her hand and her eyes were behinf sun glasses. I was pretty sure they weren't hers. She was also wearing what she had on yesterday and her hair looked like she slept on a beach. They were fizzy, dry and full of sand. Since Jace said she didn't come home last night and with Shane gracing us with his presence this morning it's pretty obvious that she slept with Shane last night on the beach.

Dammit.

I am so freaking jealous.

"Liv. I need help." She said to me with a dry throat as she took a huge gulp from her to go cup.

"I think it's the understatement of the century" I heard Alec. I could tell there was underlying anger in his casual tone. Ugh. Boys.

"Just meet me in the Ladies in 5. Please bring in the cavalry." She said again ignoring Alec's snide comment. Actually she was ignoring both boys's presence all together.

"This is real classy Maia. That guy? Seriously?" Jace said again.

"Don't be an asshole Jace. In her defense Shane is super hot" I said. It was clear Maia was dealing with a hangover and he choose this exact moment to be a big brother. Where was he when she didn't came home. Even if he thought Maia was with me he never even bother to call.
