Alec's point of view
I don't even know how I exactly got into this whole drama but there I was sitting in front of office which Jace whereas Maia and Livia were inside explaining their side of the whole incident. Natasha made a big deal about how her nose was broken and she needed immediate medical attention. She also threatened to sue Maia as well as the school for lack of security. Yeah good luck with that.
"Did you see Livia? I've never seen her that angry. I mean the way she slapped Natasha. It was amazing." Shouldn't he be worried that his sister might get expelled?
"More like funny. She had to jump a little to get to her face. Still she managed to create quite an impact." I said reminiscing that moment. Then there were footsteps in the hall. We looked up to see Maia's father standing with a strange woman. She looked older version of Livia. I guess that might be her mother. Thank goodness it wasn't Maia's mother. I could sense Jace thinking the same thing as he relaxed when they approached us.
"Hello Alec. I assume Maia and Livia are inside?" Dr McQueen asked me. I nodded feeling uncomfortable the way he ignored Jace.
"Jace I know you're already on the task to contact that app's authorities to get that photo taken down for unsuitable content. Am I right?"
"Yes. I already sent them a long email regarding this." Jace lied. I could tell Dr McQueen knew he was lying but he let it slide and went inside with Livia's mother.
As soon as the door closed Jace started typing on his phone furiously. I looked around and saw Andrew and Parker hovering in end of hall. When they saw us sitting outside they both came over.
"I heard what happened. Did Livia really slapped Natasha?" Andrew asked.
"Dude you already saw the video." Parker said scowling.
"Video can be altered with. I need to hear it from the witnesses I can trust."
"Here he goes with his detective shit." Jace mumbled.
"You know Jace one day your sister will be prime suspect in a murder and then you'll be thankful that I was the primary on that case who cleared her name." Andrew said looking smug. Maia's friends were just as strange as she was herself.
"If she keeps up with her ways she won't be the suspect but the guilty." Parker said. No wonder he was pissed. He likes Maia and now he sees her photo of having sex with another guy.
Suddenly door opened and Maia's father and Livia's mother come out with their respective daughters.
Livia seemed normal. No remorse or anything on her face. Her mother also seemed fine. Actually her mother looked proudly at her daughter. Whereas Maia kept her eyes glued to the floor and her father avoided looking at her at any cost. He looked seriously pissed.
"You sure taking Livia with you won't be a trouble Jason?" Livia's mother asked.
"Of course not Nessa. I believe my daughter can use your daughter's wise company." Jace snorted where as Maia just touched her face subtly. Her hair where hiding her face so it was impossible to tell if she was actually crying or not. Probably not. Even though I believed Natasha when she said that thing about Mark I now realize how wrong I was. Mark isn't stupid and as much as I hate Maia I just can't see her as a cheater. She isn't considerate enough to lie.
"Jace will drive them home. Maia knows her privilege for her bike have been revoked." Maia's father said looking at her waiting for his daughter to look at him in the eye.
When she looked up her eyes were dry and carefully blank.
"I know." She said quietly.
"Please give me a moment alone with my daughter." Dr McQueen said politely.
So the six of us moved down the hall but our eyes were glued to the father daughter standing in the end of hall.
I could tell Dr McQueen was pissed but Maia took everything he said with a nod and occasionally shaking her head. Then he turned away from his daughter trying to calm down. Maia said something as tears escaped her eyes. She scrubbed them off quickly, before her father could see. After another few words between them Maia took a set of keys and handed them to her father.
When he turned to walk towards us we all made a pathetic attempt to make it seem like we weren't observing them. Behind him I say Maia standing near the window looking outside trying to control her emotions. This was the first time I've seen her look genuine remorse. I wondered if she looked like that after she broke up with Mark.
"Alec would you do me a favor."
"Of course Dr McQueen. Anything." I said way to quickly.
"Bring Maia's bike home. She says you know where it is. Jace make sure she doesn't even look at it until I say otherwise. And take Livia and Maia home. Make sure you take Alec to Maia's bike first." He said dropping Maia's keys in my hand and went out of the building. I swear I've never seen a man steam that cold before.
"Livia I love how you stood up to that bully. Just make sure you use less violence." Livia's mother said and kissed her daughter's cheek. "Try to cheer up Maia. She's been through a lot." Ok that was way more weird. I get she is proud of Livia for standing up to a bully but why did she said that Maia's been through a lot?
When she also disappeared out of the doors Parker strode where Maia stood. I could feel more drama come our way.
"My brother? Really Maia?" He said. Oh shit. Shane was Parker's brother? Now that's a double kick in the balls.
"I am sorry you had to find out this way Parker" Maia said still facing outside.
"How long is this going on?"
"Almost three months." She answered. Three months mean right after she came back from Paris.
"How do I know you not lying to me?" Parker said. Andrew looked offended on Maia's behalf. I don't know why but it didn't crossed my mind that she might be lying.
"Have I ever lied to you before Parker?" She turned. Instead of looking offended she looked tired.
"Did you know I liked you Maia?" He asked. Shit just got serious. Maia closed her eyes as she took a deep breath.
"Yes I knew."
"So you slept with my brother knowing I had feeling for you?" Parker asked again. Poor lad, he looked devastated.
Maia just nodded.
"So are you in relationship with Shane or was he just your fuck buddy? Like Mark?"
"Shane and I aren't in relationship. And please don't say anything about my relationship with Mark. You don't know first thing about it." She said with brutal clarity. Parker just gave her the filthiest abuse he could find and stormed out.
"Maia. Babe you know he doesn't mean that." Andrew tried to explain trying to hug her but she shrugged him off.
"He does. You can come home with us if you want but I wish you would go after Parker. Make sure he's ok."
"Your wish is my command. But I want to say one thing. Great punch and great slap. Proud of you both. Especially my baby Liv." He kissed both girls on cheek and ran after his friend.
"Can we go now?" Maia asked Jace. Jace had been waiting for his turn to lecture Maia on her recklessness and everything but when Maia looked up with her red and wet eyes and nose not even a stone cold status could stand mad at her.
Jace just pulled her into a hug and kissed her on forehead. Before walking towards parking. I doubt if Dr McQueen will be mad at her for long, that is if he hasn't already forgiven her.
