Off he went again, Cara, although she enjoyed his lips on hers more than she would accept even too herself, thought that she would never get used to this.
She wondered how many more times will she be walking before being pulled into an alley or behind a building only to be met with those dark eyes of his.
She wondered why he seemed to have taken a liking to her, why she had too taken a liking to him. Her viens seemed to run as cold as ice as she thought of the danger they are in just by seeing one another, then again they weren't actually seeing eachother, only crossing paths and locking lips.
A blush formed on her cheeks burning a crimson red, how on earth had this come about?
She was to work with her favourite work mate, today being the last for the pop up clinic allowed her to share one shift with Janice.
Janice was in her late fourties, her red hair cut short with a perm, her worn skin and tired eyes always gave the wrong impression. To look at, Janice was that boss who took no nonsense and told children off for playing near her house.
In reality Janice was amazing, she was kind to everyone, her smile never faultered. She had no husband nor children but treated everyone she met as her own.
Cara knew that if she could tell anyone, it would be her. So when three am rolled around and the two doctors went for a coffee in a cheap all hours Italian place, Cara decided to confide in the woman.
Cara sat at a booth next to the window, Janice sat opposite and ordered two black coffee's.
"Can I tell you something? You can't tell anyone though." Cara started in a low voice, careful not to let anyone hear.
"Oh I know that look! You have man troubles, not that just being with a man doesn't bring trouble." Janice giggled as though she was a school girl.
"Yeah, well sort off I guess. We have only known each other for about a week. Erm, actually I guess I don't know anything about him except where he lives and his job. He knows nothing about me bar my first name and my job..." Cara drifted off realising how hard this really was to explain.
"Ohh.. So is this one of those 'fantasy' man problems?"
"What?" She asked raising an eyebrow to her confusing collegue.
"You know like the whole 'I want him but he hasn't noticed me' problem?" She quoted in the air making Cara laugh.
"No!... I just, well he is a very dangerous man. He sort of took me the day we met after I shouted at him. He was all cut up so I sewed him up... there was this, this electricity between us. Everytime we got close it was like my heart was jolted, we kissed but he said it shouldn't have happened.." Cara began to scramble her mind through everything.
"He showed up and pulled me into the same alley before I came into work tonight, long story short but I kissed him and it all came again. The sparks, the electric, even how my blood goes ice cold when I realise the danger. I just, well I don't know what to do?" She whispers avoiding Janice's eyes.
"Well.." Janice let out a small cough before getting Cara's attention. Cara looked up at her friend as she nodded her head out of the window. "I'm going to take a guess here and say that Mr. Zsasz likes you very much. He is one of the most dangerous men in Gotham, and.. I have watched you fight off four men and save a helpless woman, I think you two would be great together."
Janice finished up leaving Cara to stare out of the window at the very man she couldn't stop thinking about. He was leaning on the side of the building accross the street watching her through the window. He smirked when her eyes met his. Even more when he realised Janice knew.
The two women finished thier coffee's and left, leaving a tip for the night girl. Janice smiled at Cara before telling her to go over to him.
Cara paused for a second in a blush before she finally ran across the street, Victor instantly pulling her around the corner and planting his lips on hers.
"Thats Janice by the way, she knows." Cara broke out of the kiss to which Victor smiled.
"She seemed to approve. Thats a first... This, this is a first." He whispered looking away from her eyes, his hands still cupping her cheeks.
She blushed wildly before taking his face with her hand and pulling him into another kiss they struggled to break away from.
"I'll see you after work." Victor stated in that cool 'Zsasz' tone only he could pull off.
"See you then." Cara replied in an equally calm tone, turning and walking back across the street where Janice stood waiting with a huge smile on her face.
"The killer and the healer. Who'd have thought?" She smiled to herself before slowly walking back to their job.
