Cara was angered to an extreme level, she never knew that such hatred could be held within her until she heard the news reports.
"The mayor of Gotham city, along side the GCPD are calling out for anyone who knows the where abouts of the former detective James Gordan.
The former GCPD detective has a warrant out for his arrest after reports on him attacking Theo Galavan, the city's Mayor. The event took place after the former Mayor, Aubery James confirmed that it was not Mr. Galavan who abducted him, infact it was The Penguin. Authoritys now believe Gordan has been working along side the self proclaimed "King of the Underworld" in a bet to take down the newly elected Galavan.
If anyone has seen this fugative, please call the number on the screen. The department of crimes are said to be offering a $500 dollar reward to anyone with positive information."
Cara knew Jim was innocent, only days prior had she been involved in saving civilians from the residence of Galavan himself, while several assassins made attempts on Jim's life.
Bullock had been consumed by a rage that no one in the department but Cara could understand. To him, Jim was not only a partner but he was family; once again framed and on the run from the law. Bullock was now under the ever watching gaze of Captin Barnes, not believing that Harvey knew nothing of Jim's position.
She knew where Jim was, really it was not a hard guess. Victor had confirmed her suspicion that morning when he let slip that he had been to see Oswald, Jim was there with Ed.
"Hey, Alvarez? I'm going to head out and see if I can get anything on Jim from the slums." She called across the chaotic room, the tanned man looked up and nodded before burrying his face back into the mounds of paper work.
She headed straight out and climbed into a taxi, needing to get to Ed's as quickly as possible. If Jim was there she could find a way to help them bring down Galavan.
It didn't take long for Cara to be stood at Ed's door, though for a moment she found herself pausing. She had not considered her career, nor her connection to both Oswald and Victor. If any of this got out, she would end up in Arkham and presumed to be insane. Then again, she had already come this far and was not willing to back out.
With a loud knock, Cara stood still and awaited an answer. Some footsteps could be heard from within and yet no one answered the door, sighing she called out.
"It's Cara. Open the door damn it!"
"Oh, sorry Cara. We were.." Ed apologised as he opened the door, Cara pushed straight past him while rolling her eyes. As she suspected all of the men were in Edward's apartment, Victor, Jim and Oswald sat infront of her looking a little confused.
"Cara, what are you..?" Jim spoke but Cara raised her hand, halting him straight away.
"What's the plan?" Her voice gave off the demand in the question but Jim and Victor showed no signs of letting up.
"It's too dangerous for you to be involved. I'm screwed anyway but you, you're a damn good cop. I wont let you throw that away." Jim had tried to reason, however futile it may have been.
"So everyone else can put their neck on the line but me? Please, I will help you. You are our best detective and the gods know we need you." Cara gronned as Jim raised his eyebrows.
"Is this mutal love fest over or?" Victor cleared his throat, making it clear that he was uncomfortable with the scene playing out in front of him.
"Of course. Since when do you save cops though?" Cara laughed at Victor as he stepped closer to her and reached out to touch her cheek with his palm.
"Since my amazing girl became one.. and I need to make sure you are always protected." Victor choked out the last part, horrified that he was admitting to trusting not one but two cops.
"Ew. If you don't mind I want to see a man die, not one get it on with his girlfriend." Oswald fake gagged while glaring at the pair, they however began to laugh and as though they had read one anothers minds, both went in for a long, drawn out and soppy kiss.
"Alright you two, I think you made your point. Now, Galavan has been released but he will now be on full guard. There is a group that is attacking Gotham, they are The Order of Saint Dumas. Galavan made the mistake of telling me about it last night, they plan on killing the son of Gotham. I just need to find out who that is." Jim frowned, allowing his forehead to crease.
"I'll go to the station and see what I can find on the Dumas. Ed, come with me back to work so it doesn't look strange that you have disappeared. Victor, can you go and ask about, someone must know something and well.. You can be very persuasive." Cara nodded as both men bowed their heads in agreement.
"Lets go, I'll follow you to work in ten minutes. If we arrive back at the same time it will seem like we are up to something." Ed grinned as Cara and Victor headed for the door.
"You think we'll beat him?" Victor watched for Cara's response the moment the door closed, she visibly sighed before looking into his eyes.
"I really hope so, Jim needs a win right now. I think we all do, that man is nothing but trouble and trouble is all he will cause as the Mayor." Cara shook her head lightly, her mind racing now with ideas to dispose of the man should they fail.
