Victor stopped dragging Cara by her arm the moment they reached the roads. Seeing as though they were on the east side of Gotham, he knew it would be quite the walk to get her back to her own apartment. His however, was not too far away.

"Victor, I'm going to call a cab to pick us up. I need to get to the GCPD, all hell is going to be breaking loose and.." Cara voiced from the side of him but Victor barely listened instead he took her hand once more and pulled her infront of him, allowing for their bodies to touch.

"You are coming with me." He almost growled in a protective way as he rested his forehead on hers. Cara looked up into his eyes, she could see the anger swirling within, a hint of fear was there for a moment before it disappeared into the anger.

"Okay." She agreed, knowing that he would just carry her there if needed. Still however, unsure as to where 'there' was.

Victor took lead again, making sure that they remained as far way from the public eye as possible. Granted there were few people around, mainly homeless and street kids but the GCPD had eyes everywhere and talk is talk non the less.

After rounding the corner, Cara paused behind him. She had not moved causing him too, to halt; turning back, he could see the hesitation in her face.

"Whats wrong?" Victor asked, his face softening a little as hers hardened.

"It's just.. I haven't been here since Butch, he managed to get free of what we did. I failed here, Mrs. Kapleput died because of my failure." Cara's tone was almost broken now, her eyes threatened tears but she knew they would never fall.

"You didn't fail, you did everything you could. It worked, I don't know how he got free of it but I will find out. I promise you, we will find a way." Victor reassured her, he too had felt like a failure but someone must have helped Gilzean. The man was not nearly bright enough to return his mind to its former health alone. "Come on, you can finally meet my cats! I'll let them out to see you." He added, hoping to lighten her mood with his childlike behaviour.

"Okay, lets go." She smiled, no matter how paper thin it was Victor knew he was heading in the right direction. And so he pulled her to the door and keyed in the passcode. The door buzzed open, allowing the two to enter.

Cara walked in and admired the weapons on the walls, the perfect way the black floor was polished. She smiled at the memory of when the two first met, no matter how long ago it may have seemed.

"So how do you feed the cats and keep this place so clean when you aren't even here half of the time?" Cara asked, cocking an eyebrow at the man who smiled nervously.

"I may or may not have a maid on call.." He grinned again when she laughed.

"So that is how the famous Victor Zsasz does everything!" She grinned too as he walked towards a far corner and opened a door.

Meows filled the room as three cats piled out, all rubbing against his legs as he smiled down at them. Cara walked towards them, glancing into the room they had been in and had to hold back a giggle. Inside was filled with cat related items, a large cat tree stretched to the ceiling, hammocks hung around the room. Beds, food and water bowls scattered around neatly. Toys by the abundance lay disgarded around the floor. He really did love his pets.

"Wow they like you, usually they hiss and scratch people, even the maid." Victor brought Cara out of her thoughts, she looked down to see all three cats at her feet.

"What are their names?" She asked sitting down and stroking each of them.

"The black and white is called Shadow, she is a fiesty little monster and named after her habit of hiding in the shadows and jumping out to attack. The Sphynx is called Dalila because she is sweet as pie and the big one there, he is a Mane Coon called Forrest. No reason, he just looks like he would rule a forrest habitat!" Victor smiled while he watched his love coo over his three babies.

"They are all so lovely Victor, thank you for finally letting me meet them!" She giggled as Dalila climbed onto her chest and began to kneed her shoulders while nuzzling her face.

"I'm glad you like them. Are you hungry?" He asked Cara but his babies aparantly were too as each of them ran to his feet and began to yowl.

"Fine, I'll feed you too." He grinned, helping Cara up from the floor and walking towards his kitchen.

Once all the cats were happy with their meal he began to work on his own.

"Do you like mussels and prawns?"

Cara paused for a moment, wondering what on earth he planned to make but nodded anyway. No matter how many times he had cooked for her, she still believed he wasn't going to do well. Maybe it was because of who he was that she doubted his culinary ability.

She watched as he took off his jacket, taking her time to over see every move he made, every slice of his knife and how skilled he was with them. Eventually a fire broke out in the pan, taking her out of her admiration for a moment before she saw the purple and blue flames rise then die out as he dished the meal. The entire room smelled amazing and she had only now realised that he was smiling widely at her.

"Must you doubt me." He teased as he pushed the bowl towards her.

"I'm still amazed by you, Mr. Zsasz." Cara admitted honestly.

"Good, I like to keep you on your toes." He grinned again before taking a seat oposite her and begining to eat.
Cara looked down, lifting her fork and placing it into the mass of pasta. She lifted it too her lips and took a small bite, the taste was enough to make her moan in pleasure.

"This is soo good! What is it?" She asked with a huge smile as she saw him raise an eyebrow at her because of the strange noise that had passed her lips.

"Mussle and prawn linguini in white wine sauce, an easy and simple dish." He tried not to brag as he watched her face light up imediatly after taking another mouth full from her fork.

"Never leave me Victor." She spoke with a lightness, knowing just how much she loved the man infront of her.

"Never." He set his eyes upon her once more and smiled again, a strange but enjoyable feeling formed that made his stomach flip.
