The faster of the four swung a metal base ball bat, he had aimed for Victors head but missed. The bat hit a wall sending a loud clink sound ricochetting around the abandoned street.
Victor was quicker, using his old daggers he cut a large 'X' into the mans chest, his body hitting the floor immediately as he gripped his shirt. A gun shot sounded, echoes being swallowed by the heavy rain.
He rolled across the floor, allowing for the bullet aimed for him to hit the man he had cut. The next to attack was large, burly and slow. An easy target however strong he may have been, just like the first he hit the floor with blood pouring from his body.
Victor smiled as the final two hesitated, one had a gun pointed towards him, the other just a knife.
"Come on now lads, I thought this would at least be a challenge." Victor teased coolly, waiting for a spark of anger to ignite from either man.
Another shot was fired, this one hitting his arm. Only when the guy smiled did Victor make his move, taking out his own silver pistol he shot before the man could see but a mere flash of the light reflecting from his gun.
The final man stood with nothing but rage on his face, his breath could be heard over the water hitting the floor. His jaw clenched, knuckles white from the grip on the knife. Then he let go.
The sound of metal clattering on the concrete hit Victors ears as he lifted an eyebrow at the mans strange move.
"John! What are you doing lad?" The ring leaders face grew white, fear laced his eyes as he watched on at the scene. Three of his men already dead, another soon to go.
"If we are to fight, we'll do it like men." The man now known as John snarled, he unlike the others didn't have crooked teeth. His were well kept, his clothes weren't worn or battered, even his hair seemed tame. Nothing like the type Victor was used to fighting.
"If that's how you wish to go, I'll oblige." Victor placed his gun down onto the concrete, his daggers next, even the small blade hidden by his trousers was placed onto the floor.
John made his move, reaching Victor in a split second before throwing a left hook towards his jaw. Victor dodged with ease, punching the mans stomach then his face.
He knew now that John had been holding back for a reason, for he laughed in reaction. Swinging his fist once more, this time making contact with Victors fresh bullet wound.
"Oh I know who you are.. Zsasz." The man bellowed as Victor took a step back from the impact. A gasp resonated from behind John.
"Victor Zsasz?" The ring leader repeated in a hushed tone. "Get him! He is worth more than the girl!" He then shouted, only now his voice was excited.
Victor dodged the next blow, going low and taking out Johns feet. His back hit the floor with a harsh thud, his hand gripping Victors leg and pulling him down too.
Victor rolled with ease out if his grip, standing with god like speed and kicking his ribs; satisfied by the loud crack and hiss from the man. Another shot was fired towards his leg, just scraping his thigh with the bullet.
John jumped to his feet with the agility of a cat. "Shoot again and I'll kill you next!" John growled, his brown eyes never leaving Victors own.
The two came to blows once more, Victor taking several hits to his chest. Despite his efforts this man was more of a challenge than he had realised. Victor thought quickly, he needed to get this done and now. If any more men were called he could not guarantee he would make it through.
Lunging forwards, Victor gripped Johns shoulder before flipping his own body over his head. Taking the second it would take John to react to kick out the back of his knees. As he was falling Victor placed his hands at either side of his head, jutting it to the side and then lifting to the left. Finally snapping the mans neck.
Victor watched as he fell face first onto the pavement, an out of breath sigh leaving his body. Though the man had fought well, ultimately he had lost.
A squeak drew his attention as the final man turned to flee, running down the street with a stumble. He grabbed his pistol from the floor and took aim, one bullet shot through the air hitting the mans knee.
"Argghh! Don't kill me! Please.. Don't." The mans yelling now filled the silence of the street, the rain having stopped falling when John took his last breath. Victor skipped merrily over to the man, ignoring the pain he felt from the blows he had taken.
"No, no. You and I have some things to discuss." Victor whispered into the mans ear as he pressed his thumb into the bleeding bullet wound.
"What does your boss want with Sofia Falcone?" Victor questioned, taking a moment to enjoy the pain filled screams as he twisted his thumb.
"I don't know! I swear!" The man cried out, his hand shooting for his jacket pocket. Victor grinned wildly as he gripped the mans throat. Taking his other hand from the wound and checking the pocket, a simple switch blade was this mans salvation.
"How about we.. cut.. a deal!" Victor chuckled as he popped the knife, exposing the shiny blade. "Take me to your boss, pretend you caught me if you must.. and maybe I'll let you live." His voice turned dark once again, his humor all but forgotten as he dragged the man to his feet.
