TRICIA
"Lady Tricia, you have an..."
Leila stopped from talking the moment I glared at her. "Leave," I said, almost hissing the words out of my mouth.
Leila bowed her head then left me alone in my office.
I clenched my fist then glared at the mail I just received.
It was from Skipper, apologizing for what happened last week. He said that he was drunk and intoxicated enough not to be able to think straight. He was sorry for kissing me, and that he's been looking for me for a week to personally apologize.
Skipper said that he'll be traveling around the world for his portfolio. He may be gone for half a year, hopping from a country to another. And that means that my plans will be delayed until he comes back.
This can't be happening!
Para saan pa ang pagpigil ko sa pagbabalik ni Darlene Aiyana dito sa Pilipinas? Para saan pa ang mga paglalatag ko ng mga plano ko, kung wala naman si Skipper dito?
Should I follow him?
But I'll be just another girl for him if I do that. I won't be an exception. I won't be special to him that way.
Pero kung maghihintay na naman ako hanggang sa makauwi s'ya, baka maunahan pa ako. Baka may iba s'yang mahalin. Baka may iba s'yang makilala. O baka may muli s'yang makita. Hindi maaari.
I don't believe in destiny. We're the makers of our fate.
If I want something, I'll move heaven and earth to get it. I won't be sitting here, waiting for coincidence to happen to me. I want Skipper Vergara, and I'll have him.
I need a plan.
I pressed on the intercom. "I need Justin."
I don't have to wait for a minute, Justin entered my office.
Justin gave me his blank expression. "Skipper Vergara is currently on Singapore. He has a flight to Milan tomorrow, six o'clock in the evening, Philippine time."
I smirked. Nothing can be more efficient than this man.
"Prepare my plane," I ordered.
Justin briefly nodded his head then leave.
I leaned on my chair and stared at the peonies on my table.
Skipper will be mine. He's mine the moment he made me fall for him.
I closed my eyes and remembered how I knew Skipper's the one for me.
Justin Mondragon is my personal bodyguard.
I don't see any reason why I need one though. I can take care of myself. And no one can harm me inside the campus.
At first, I was annoyed whenever I see him around. He's like a shadow, following me everywhere! During my classes, he'll be standing in a corner, watching me like a hawk. As I walk around, he'll be three meters behind me, tailing me everywhere! Kahit sa comfort room pa. He won't stay outside. Papasok din s'ya sa loob at titigilan lang ako kapag nakapasok na ako sa loob ng cubicle. 'Pag labas ko, he'll be standing by the door, eyes already on me!
He's a creep. And his face was always void of any emotions.
Whenever I got bored, I'm watching him back. Wala talaga s'yang emosyon.
