chapter 4

Ariana stopped her car in front of our house and she quickly get in. We didn't waste anytime she help me get my mom inside her car. And she drive to the hospital as fast as she could.

"Oh mom please just hang on okay I'll take care of you" I told my mother then start crying again. "Y/N don't worry we'll get your mom to hospital soon" Ariana said and I just keep on crying.

She's been there for me from the start till now, and I'm gonna be here for her till the very end.

Once we arrive at the hospital Ariana quickly inform them that it's a emergency, so the nurses quickly get stretcher and take mom inside.

"Mom just hold on" I said and hold her hands in mine. Once we reach the room the nurses told me I can't go in. And I can't do anything but just to sit down and wait.

"Ariana will she be okay? Will my mom be okay?" I asked Ariana while crying, she stroke my hair and put my head on to her shoulder "of course Y/N she's a strong woman okay your mom could get through this" I crack a smile and just lay my head on her shoulder. I know I could always count on her.

(2 hours later)

Two hours the doctor finally came out and I quickly stand up so did Ariana. "Doc h-hows my mom?" I asked and it took minutes for him to answer "Ms. Y/l/N your mom's anemia is getting worse if we don't keep up and doesn't conduct a surgery as soon as possible I'm afraid that she might can't survive" He explains everything to me and I can't help but to cry.

"W-when will the surgery begin?" I asked and he give me a look "We will do the surgery within this week, and you should get ready too cause it cost really big" he said and then excuse himself, I thank him and just sit down there with Ariana for a few.

"You can go home now Ari thanks for dropping us and sorry for disturbing you" I said and she instantly pull me into a tight hug.
"Y/N you know I won't go home right and you didn't disturb me okay I'll always be here if you need me" I smile at Ariana and kiss her cheeks.

"Alright uhm I'm gonna pay the bill on her check up in the counter Ari can you please look after her?" I asked and Ariana nodded and told me to take care.

I gave her a small smile before turning around and walking away.

I use the elevator and once I reach the lobby I look for the counter and pay our bill. I will pay it now cause if I don't it will get bigger and bigger It will be hard for me to pay it.

I hand the nurse the money and I waist for a while till she give me the receipt. Once she's done she hand it to me and I thanked her. I turn around while reading the receipt.

"Y/N?"

I heard someone call my name. So I look up and oh shit!

No way it's her again.

"What?" I asked annoyed. But there's something In her face that I can't explain. She looks

Worried?

"What are you doing here?" She asked and her tone is a little different. "Yo-" I was about to speak but I remember what my mom told me, should I be nice to her?

"Uhm my mom is in the hospital" I said and then look down, come on Y/N don't you dare break down in front of her! She can't humiliate me here there's too many people. "What happen Y/N?" She asked softly and I was so surprised I mean like she won't tease me or anything?

I look up to her and speak but she interrupts me, "it's hard to talk here, let's talk in the cafeteria" she said and I was about to say no but she already pulled my arms. Wow her hands are just soft as she was young. She look angeli- wait what no no no Y/N what are you saying this girl is your enemy!. But she looks nice right now. Oh come on Y/N don't let her fool you.

Argh confusing!

I didn't notice that were in cafeteria already. She pulled me in an empty table and sit with me.

She's in my front and I can't stop looking at her face she looks different in close up.

"Y/N?" She called out my name and I was pulled away from my thoughts. "Huh?" I asked unfocused and she laugh which sounds so beautiful. "I was like calling you three times but you're too busy checking me out" she said smirking and I scoffed, "no way I wasn't checking you out jauregui" I defend and she rolled her eyes, "right whatever Y/l/N" she said and we stayed silent for a moment. Gosh it's so awkward.

"So Y/N what happen to your mom again? Is she okay?" Lauren asked and my heart starts racing fast again. It's like aching to see my mom in hospital and in a hard condition like this, "of course she's not okay Lauren" I said frowning "oh geez yeah sorry my bad but what really happened?" She asked and I keep my head down.

"My mom.. she's been so sick and I don't have enough money to buy her medicine or take her to doctor, and now it just gotten worse and the doctor told me that they will conduct mom a surgery as soon as possible" I feel myself getting teary again but I don't want to break down in front of lauren.

"Oh my god Y/N I'm really sorry about that, what's your plan now?" She asked and I finally look up and take a deep breath, "I'm gonna get job as soon as I found one and earn money for my mom's surgery" I said and tap my fingers on the table while looking down.

Unexpectedly Lauren put her finger under my chin and lift my face up, and I blush when I realize that our face so close to each other.

"I could get you a job"
