Chapter 19: Operation: Grim Sky

Operation: Grim Sky

Location: Afghanistan

Objective: Reclaim US Air Force Base

Team Leader: Specter

Operators: Shadow, Ballista, Blaze, Aphrodite, Maverick, Clash

Notes:

A US Air Base has been attacked by White Masks terrorists in Afghanistan. Team Rainbow has been sent to assist in taking back the base. Failure is not an option as there are nukes on some of the F 16s, F 22s, B 2 and B 52.

(Y/n) POV:

Pilot:" I'll have to drop you off here."

The Chinook hatch opened and we rappelled down into the hot desert. We ran towards the base, we were dropped off a few hundred meters away for safety reasons. 

"Everyone ready?"

Recruits:" Yes sir!"

Clash:" I was born ready!"

Maverick:" Always ready to serve my country!"

When we were near the base, we could clearly hear gunshots and grenades. Once we arrived, everything was in chaos, soldiers armed with M4s were trying to fend off the White Masks from reaching the nuke carrying air crafts. 

"Ballista, set up your sniper rifle, everyone else, split up."

Ballista deployed his bipod. I went with Blaze and Maverick to flank the terrorists while the rest joined the US soldiers. I slightly broke off from my group and entered a tent. There were a couple dozen terrorists inside, I immediately ducked behind a table as bullets flew past me. I switched my rifle to semi-auto and popped out of my cover, I fired all of my shots, killing all of the terrorists. Shortly after, my team entered the tent to regroup and we continued. We went to another tent, there were even more terrorists. One of them was about to fire an RPG at us but I shot the projectile, detonating it, killing more than half of the terrorists. We easily shot down the rest. 

Maverick:" Clear!"

We were about to leave the tent but more terrorist came in and aimed their weapons at us, we turned around to see more terrorists. I unclipped a smoke grenade and threw it on the floor, smoke covered the room, I attached a bayonet to my rifle, turned on my infrared vision and charged the group in the front. I slashed one's throat with a swing before impaling another through the heart. Another terrorist tried to stab me blindly but I stabbed him in the knee before shooting him in the head. I stabbed two terrorists in the head and another one in the crotch. I turned around to see my teammates and the other terrorists stumbling around blindly. I unclipped a grenade and threw it. I grabbed my teammates arms and ran out of the tent. The grenade blew up, killing the terrorists inside. Abruptly, a lucky survivor ran out and was about to stab me but a bullet hit him in the head, killing him instantly. I looked up to see Ballista operating his rifle's bolt action. we continued moving. Suddenly, I heard the pump of a shotgun and turned to my right to see a soldier aiming a Remington 870 at me, I knocked his gun out of his arm and stabbed him in the throat with a knife. After a few moments, dozens of hostiles started moving towards us, attracted to the noise. They started shooting.

"I'm throwing a flashbang."

I unclipped and threw a flashbang towards the hostiles. We covered our eyes as the grenade went off, blinding the enemy. Blaze grabbed his launcher and fired an incendiary grenade, killing 10. I unleashed a hail of bullets with my assault rifle, downing 15. 

Blaze:" Throwing grenade!"

He unclipped and threw a frag grenade, taking out the rest of the terrorists aside from one. The last White Masks picked up and m240 bravo and started shooting at us.
