Chapter 23: Calamity

3rd person POV:

The chopper landed back at Hereford base and we got off. Six was waiting just outside the helipad.

Six:" How did it go?"

Specter:" Mission success."

Six:" Well, get rest up."

The operators nodded and entered the base. They were walking back to their dorm when.

BOOOM!!!

A massive explosion went off, blasting through the wall next to them and throwing all of them onto the floor. Everyone else looked around in confusion and fear. Suddenly, many more loud explosions went off.

Thatcher:" Everyone get down!"

We lied down as even more explosions went off, one happened right next to (Y/n). After a few seconds, the dust settles, revealing that all sides of the building was ruined, many recruits were on the floor, bleeding. 

Specter:" We're under attack!"

We looked around to see piles of dead recruits. We looked through a gaping hole in the east side of the building, dozens armored vehicles appeared from the forest area and hundreds upon hundreds of White Masks soldier armed with assault rifles exited them. 

Recruit:" Shi-"

A White Mask soldier put a bullet through the recruits head before he could finish his sentence. The recruit's body drop to the ground.

White Mask: "Happy hunting!"

The terrorists began splitting up and surrounding the ruined base.

Specter:" Doc, get to the dorm area and save anyone you can. Everyone else, got to the armory and get your stuff, we'll hold these bastards off!"

The other operators and recruit saluted and ran to the armory. Specter, Wraith, White Devil, Aphrodite, Blaze, Shadow, and Ela switched their rifles to full auto and began spraying down the hoard of terrorists while Ballista deployed his sniper rifle. The terrorists began returning fire but their bullets were hitting the falling bodies of the terrorists in front. Suddenly, Specter saw Six stuck under a piece of concrete. He quickly rushed over and lifted the rubble. He fireman carried Six and ran to the dorm areas. The others followed. They reached the dorm to find dozens of recruits along with Thatcher and the Russian operators holding their guns. On the floor were injured operators and recruits, lying everywhere. Doc was applying antiseptics to Montagne. Twitch was bandaging Rook's head, the French male was bleeding badly. Vigil was stitching up a nasty gash in Dokkaebi's leg which was bleeding badly. Bandit was going around and giving people his stash of morphine, only the Polish, British, German and American operators are relatively uninjured. Zofia walked over the Ela.

Zofia:" Are you ok?"

Ela nodded.  Specter put Six down in front of Doc and the field medic began treating their leader. The operators heard the terrorists' footsteps coming for them. Anyone who was able to fight grabbed a gun and began heading in different directions.

Thatcher:" The Russians and Polish operators take the cafeteria, SEALS and FBI go outside, we and the German will take the gym, ."

Everyone:" Got it!"

 Specter lead his recruits and jumped out of a hole in the wall before downing three terrorists with headshots. The other operators opened fire and sprayed down dozens of terrorists.Specter threw a grenade which blew up, killing half a dozen terrorists. They tried to run to the hill to get a high ground. But they were interrupted by machinegun fire. they hid behind a large trees but the bullets were slowly ripping through the tree. Specter peeked and shot down one machine gunner before ducking back in as bullets flew pass where his head was.
