"Right this is Andrew Philips, 28, at approximately 1:41pm today he was in a head on collision with a Car, Head and neck cleared at the scene, queried fractured Tibia, also a compound fracture to the upper humorous Conscious on arrival..." Iain speaks as he wheels the patient in on a trolley.
Sam is next to come in with the driver of the car who is in a wheelchair, "Graeme Browning, 56, found unconscious at the wheel, strong smell of alcohol from him but denies any consumption..." Sam is cut off by the patient.
"I haven't been drinking I tell you!" He says as he stands abruptly from the wheelchair and turns to face Sam and Alicia who she is doing the hand over with.
"Please Mr. Browning, sit down," Alicia says trying to reason with the patient.
"He has also refused us to check his head and neck for injury or any other treatment" Sam explains to Alicia who is trying to still make the patient sit down.
"No you wouldn't listen to me, I'm fine..." He says as she trashes his arms around violently. His arm catches Alicia, hitting her in the face causing her to step back and hold her cheek.
Sam steps from behind the wheelchair and looks up at the 6ft 6" man towering above her, making a 5ft 5" Sam look ever so small. She takes a deep breath and decides to try a more forceful way of making Graeme sit down.
"Please Mr. Browning, sit down or I will have to contact security" Sam speaks up.
Without a thought for her own safety, she tries to guide him to the wheelchair with a little bit more force than Alicia had used. As she manages to guide him back to the chair he suddenly breaks into a violent rampage on Sam.
Sam blocks her face as he throws a drunken punch at her which narrowly misses her, but before she can react he pushes her over causing Sam to hit her head off the empty trolley in the corridor.
Alicia rushes to Sam's side and checks on her, Sam is unconscious so shouts for help, she shouts as loud as she can.
Luckily Charlie hears Alicia and comes to her aid, "Sam? Sam, can you hear me" Alicia says as she shakes Sam's shoulders. Sam starts to regain consciousness and looks up at Alicia before slowly sitting up and holding her forehead. "Are you okay?" Charlie asks as they support Sam.
She nods and winces before looking up at Graeme who is still stood there over her, "She was in my way... I didn't touch her" He panics as he's slightly sobered up.
Alicia looks up at him in disgust but before she can speak, Charlie speaks up "We shall let CCTV and security decide that. Do you know what could happen for abusing a member of Staff?" He speaks.
Graeme panics and then runs off, Alicia stands to go and find him but Charlie stops her "But" She mutters.
"Leave him... waste of our time, now let's get Sam to cubicles for a check over" Charlie smiles.
"No, I'm fine... Seriously" Sam speaks as she gets herself up.
"Well, that is going to need a few stitches" Charlie replies as he notices her blonde hair has turned red in an area.
Sam places her hand on the back of her head and then looks at her hand, "Oh right... Well, best make it quick. The NHS doesn't stop" Sam replies as Charlie and Alicia guide her to cubicles.
As they find her a cubicle Robyn passes and Charlie directs her to go and find Iain as he's her partner for the shift. Alicia helps Sam onto the bed and helps her remove her paramedic top so she is left in a white t-shirt and her green trousers.
"I shall be back soon, just rest for now" Charlie smiles as he heads off to another patient.
Alicia stands and puts her under monitoring and observations as she was unconscious for a while, "Seriously, Alicia? There isn't a need for all of this, seriously I'm fine" Sam huffs.
Alicia rolls her eyes and she knows anyone in the medical profession makes the worst patients.
