After a taxi ride and a speed walk to the elevator, I'm finally back in my apartment. I place my keys on the counter and sigh. What did I just do? Why was Calum so worried about me? He doesn't even know me.

I take my shoes off and hear my phone start to ring. I look at the caller ID and it's my dad.

"Hey dad. What's up?" I say into the phone.

"Hey honey. Are you at your apartment right now?" he asks.

"Uh yeah. Are you and mom almost here?" I ask, hoping he says yes. I really needed a hug from him right now.

"Yes, just a few minutes away. What's your apartment number?" he asks.

"57. But don't worry about trying to find, I'll be down there soon to help you guys carry stuff in." I said.

"Okay dear. See you soon." my dad said.

"Bye." I said as I hung up. I slip my shoes back on my grab my apartment key. I head down to the elevator and wonder what Calum's doing, what he's feeling. I left him alone in that coffee shop, and he was probably even more confused now than before.

I walk out and immediately see my parents, standing by the trunk of the car. They notice me walking and both turn to hug me.

"I missed you guys, so much." I said into their arms, soon realizing how much I actually missed my parents.

"We've missed you too honey." my mom said as they both let go of me. "Let's get started!"

We all turn back to the car and my dad opens the trunk so we can start taking boxes up to my apartment. As I carry a box of my things to the elevator, the realization starts to hit me. I'm moving out, I'm becoming an adult. This wasn't just a vacation, and I wouldn't see my parents everyday anymore. I wouldn't see Sam everyday anymore. Thinking about it all made my heart hurt a little, but I was ready for this. This was what I've wanted for a while, and I'm not backing out now. I place the box I was carrying onto the living room floor and walk back to the car.

Quite a few boxes have been taken to my apartment so there aren't many left in the trunk. I make my way back to the parking lot from dropping yet another box off and see my parents talking to someone. I walk closer to get a better look and nearly choke on my own saliva. It's Calum.

"Um, what's this?" I ask so they notice my presence.

"Oh, honey this is Calum!" my mom beams at me. "Calum, this is my daughter Jane." she says, gesturing at me while smiling at Calum. "Calum here tells us he's in the apartment across from yours."

"Uh yeah, we've already met." I said glancing quickly at Calum, than looking back at my mom.

"Your daughter is lovely." Calum says smiling at me, than my mom. I don't look at him. How was he acting normal? I had literally run away from him like a half hour ago.

"And she's single." my mom says to Calum with a wink, before grabbing a box and walking in the direction of my apartment.

"No dating until your 30." my dad says jokingly, before grabbing a box and following my mom, who I can hear laughing at my dad's comment in the distance. I mentally face palm myself and wish I could just disappear. This is what I get for having embarrassing parents.

Now it's just me and Calum standing in the almost empty parking lot, so I grab one of the last boxes and start walking towards the elevator, leaving Calum behind.

"Jane, wait." Calum says, with a little desperation. He sounds sad and it tugs at my heart a little.

"What Calum?" I said as I turned to him, in a slightly annoyed tone. He grabs the last box from the trunk, shuts it, and walks up next to me.
