The wave of screaming girls would scare anyone. Alexis froze in place, not sure if she could make her limbs work. This would be the day that she got run over by fangirls all thanks to her heart that was stupid in making Ashton the guy that she liked. Could her heart not have chosen someone who was not so famous and had a shit load of love from teenage girls around the world?

The screaming only increased when the girls were within arm’s length of Ashton, which only made Alexis finally get her limbs working, only to shrink back in shock.

Raising an eyebrow, Alexis listened to what the rest of the girls said, even though she could not make out any of the words clearly. At times she could pick out a strange comment or two, but thegirls seemed to be talking to themselves when they spoke. It was also noted that this group of girls were not trying to rip Ashton apart, but gave him just enough space so he could breath. Of course maybe they realized lack of air could lead to suffocation and the last thing the girls would want is the drummer of 5SOS to die from suffocation-by-fangirls.

Still staying where she was just keeping an eye on the screaming and now crying fans, Alexis watched with some interest as Ashton went ahead and signed the phone cases and foreheads and then took pictures with the fans. At some point though, more fans seemed to be showing up and an imaginary line as too how much Ashton could deal with was drawn.

"I kind of, sort of, have to go now," Ashton said offhandedly glancing over at Alexis. "I really would love to stay, though." An apologetic look was evident on his facial features as Ashton reached out for Alexis's hand, only to help steer her through the mob of girls towards the front door of the building.

Once inside, relief washed over Alexis who looked over her shoulder at some of the fans pressing their faces against the glass. "Are they always like that?" questioned Alexis, even though she felt like she knew the answer.

"Pretty much," Ashton replied. "We love our fans and everything they do for us. If I was to stay out there and sign autographs for them, I would be out there all day." Laughing some, Ashton pressed the up arrow button for the elevator and waited for it to come down to their level.

Stepping into the elevator, Ashton could not help but pull Alexis closer to him and then wrap his arms around her waist. "You know you are -"

"Going to receive so much hate," Alexis said, butting in and not allowing Ashton to finish his thought. "Now that you have not only gone out with me in public, but grabbed my hand while the fans were around, they will make sure to find out who I am and then hate on me. That is what always seems to happen. I have gone to school with some of these obsessive fangirls who won't shut up. Constantly they will gossip about the rumors of who is dating who, if one girlfriend is worthy enough to date so-and-so, and how long until the couple breaks up only to have the one of the exs write a song or story or blog post about how the other person is scum."

Chewing on her lower lip with discomfort, Alexis knew that she wanted off this elevator. Being with Ashton for a week or two was fun, but all fun had to come to an end at some point. Not that Alexis could deal with the haters that she had been with at school, but when there were thousands of haters from around the world it was a different story.

Trying his best to appear neutral on the subject, a shrug of his shoulders was Ashton's response at first. When the elevator stopped at the correct floor and they stepped off of the metal death trap, he spoke up. "I understand your point, but I really don't think they will hate you. Besides, do you even have an account of any social media site?"

That had to be one of the most idiotic questions that Alexis had ever heard. Everyone it seemed like had an account on at least one social media site. Even pets had accounts thanks to their owners making them one. Before anyone would know it, Humanoids would be walking around and snapping away with their high tech phones, only to send out a selfie to the world to let their followers know what they were doing.
