Chapter Twenty --> Finally There

“I can’t believe you just said ‘umm’ and then went all sex ninja.”

“Sex ninja? Is that even a thing?”

Alexis was lying in the bed with Ashton, her head on his chest and their hands intertwined underneath the covers. They had finished up with, what else, sex. Not that it was a bad thing, but one might consider it to be make-up sex. There was nothing wrong with that though, other then the fact that Alexis felt dirty about it. When she wanted to do it with Ashton for the first time she never pictured it as way to make up.

“Well it is now,” Ashton exclaimed, tucking some stray stands of blonde hair behind Alexis’s ear.

“Fine, fine, it’s a thing,” Alexis said, trying not to laugh.

Shifting underneath the sheets, Ashton turned so that he could look Alexis in the eyes. Tilting her chin up with one of his fingers, he closed the space between them with a kiss. It was a simple kiss though, no tongue or eating their faces off.

After a few seconds Ashton pulled away and gave Alexis a dopy grin. “Love you,” he said sweetly. Then he moved back so that his head was resting on the pillow, so he could fall asleep.

Letting her eyes close, Alexis nodded and let the sweet kiss linger on her lips. “Love you too.” Alexis then sighed with contentment and let sleep take over.

Boxes were scattered around the room, making it almost impossible to walk freely without tripping and falling. It had been two months since Alexis got back together with Ashton and all was well. At least, it was in their eyes. The option for her to move in with him was on the table, but she had decided against it and was going to get her own place. All of those hours working at the ice cream parlor paid off.

"We are going to miss you, sweetie," Aunt Bea cooed, coming up and wrapping her arms around Alexis. "We won't be able to see your beautiful smile every morning now." Tears were starting to collect in Aunt Bea's eyes as she spoke.

Alexis was close to tears herself. Ever since finding out the information about her parents, she felt closer to her aunt and uncle than ever before. She still had not told them about her parents, for she felt like it would tear them apart even more, since they surely knew each other longer then she had known her own parents.

"I will still come and visit," Alexis said, backing out of the hug and picking up a box. Carrying it out of the room and down the stair, she knew that she would visit often. Being on her own was going to be great, but her aunt and uncle were her support system. They had been there for her for more then half of her life.

Placing the box in the passenger seat of her car, Alexis sighed and ran a hand through her blonde hair. The rest of the boxes were still up there, but all of them were filled with random knick-knacks that she did not need. Most of it was childish things anyway, such as a pink clock that was dotted with flowers. Moving was a change and a fresh start, so that meant leaving her old belongings behind and bringing in the new.

Walking around to the driver side, when Alexis opened up the door and looked up and saw both Aunt Bea and Uncle Jay standing in the doorway, their arms wrapped around each other. It was clear how much they loved and cared for each other and Alexis finally hoped that she would be able to have a relationship with someone one day like the one that her aunt and uncle had. Alexis had no idea if Ashton was that guy or not.

Between them everything was great, or it had been since that day when they made up. Most of Alexis's friends approved of the relationship, which was odd, but she figured they wanted her to be happy. Both her aunt and uncle approved, since it was obvious that they loved Ashton and Michael from the first time they met them. Then of course Alexis had to deal with if the other band members agreed that she was an okay choice as a girlfriend for Ashton. Michael, of course, said yes. The other two - Luke and Calum - had been shocked, but were fine with her as long as she did not pull any stunts to Delete them ever again. Lastly, there were the fans.
