Alexis truly had no idea if Alyssa - the Ashton crazed girl - actually went out to the curly haired boy and tried to kiss him. A part of her - for some odd reason - wanted it to happen. Of course, after scouring the web for any sort of news about the matter, none came up. What she did find though was that more people were Deletled. The issue with the whole telling the world who got Deleted was that the names were released. First off, they were Deleted so no one remembered their names, so why were they released? Guess the people at the Skyscraper figured that it would cause no harm if the names were out there in the public because people would forget the name and not place a face to the name.
Heading home from her shift at the ice cream parlor Alexis decided to skip the route that took her forever, but cut across the city and pass the apartment complex that Ashton lived in. The odds were in her favor for not running into Ashton. After all, she knew that he was at work.
Pausing in front of the building she glanced up, trying to figure out which window was the one that belonged to the apartment that Ashton and Michael lived in. Giving up, she started to walk forward again, but soon found herself turning around and heading into the apartment complex.
Taking the elevator up to the right floor, she went straight to the door that she swore that she would never go up to again. Knocking on the door, she sighed and could not believe that she was doing this but she had to know more about her past and she was good at hacking, but not as good as her ex-boyfriend who had taught her a few things that she did not know already.
From where she stood, Alexis could hear someone on the other side of the door mumbling words that she could make out. When the door opened she saw Michael and his colored hair standing there, a game controller in one hand and the part of a pizza shoved halfway into his mouth.
"Wuff?' he asked the pizza still in his mouth.
"Can I come in?" Alexis questioned, but did not wait for an answer. Pushing past the boy who had a good five or six inches on her, she entered the apartment. Not wasting any time she started to walk towards Ashton's room, but glanced back at Michael who was staring at her with a look of confusion and amusement. "I just need to grab something. I won't be long."
Pushing open the door to Ashton's bedroom, Alexis let her eyes skim over the surface of the entire room. There was no laptop in plain sight, so it must be tucked away. Starting to rummage around in the drawers of the dresser, she found nothing. Coming up to the night table, she pulled open the top drawer and wedged in the drawer was a sleek laptop that looked like it had been barely touched. Picking up the laptop, Alexis saw a manila envelope underneath. Her own curiosity got the better of her and she picked up the slender piece of paper that had to contain something of importance or it would not have been hidden.
With the laptop and envelope in hand, Alexis left the room and could hear the sound of a game going. There was a sting of curses in a voice that she did recognize, so it must be the character, but then she heard curses from a voice that she did recognize.
Laughing, Alexis went to the living room and saw a box of pizza on the coffee table and a couple cans of soda next to the box. Michael was sitting on the edge of the couch, his eyes glued to the screen where he was playing his game.
Taking a seat at the opposite end of the couch, a sigh escaped from Alexis's lips as she set the envelope down and started up the laptop. Once the laptop was on, she started to do a search, trying to find the information that Ashton got from Austin. There was nothing. There was no folder labeled in some sort of code that held what she wanted.
"What are you looking for?" Michael asked, turning his attention away from his game as his character respawned.
Looking over at Michael, a frown came to Alexis's face. "Information that Ashton has on me." Admitting that was easier then she thought, but perhaps she said it to the wrong person, or the right person. Maybe Ashton had confided in Michael about the information. That meant there was a chance that he knew where the information was kept on the laptop.
