Chapter Eleven --> Confession

Alexis stayed away from Ashton in every way possible - ignoring the constant calls and text messages for him and she took the long way home from work so that she would not have to pass by the apartment building that she had gotten used to seeing every week. If he came into the ice cream shop she could head to the back and let one of the other employees deal with him. It almost seemed like she really did hate him and never wanted to see him again, or it was according to her mind and not her heart, who was still liked Ashton.

To make sure that she was never tempted to even think about Ashton, Alexis kept on visiting Paisley at the coffee shop and then would invite the shy brunette girl over to just be lazy and watch movies until three in the morning. That tactic worked until Paisley decided to bring up her own love life.

"I think I like someone," Paisley said, glancing up from her phone and chewing on her lower lip.

Lifting a slender eyebrow, Alexis gave her friend a curious look. In the time that she had known Paisley, the girl never ever mentioned liking a guy or even ever taking an interest in who looked hot and who did not. The girl was always so focused on her job and blocking other people out, shielding herself from any sort of pain that could come with a relationship.

For a couple of minutes there was silence and Alexis sighed and crossed her arms over her chest. "So, are you going to tell me who this guy is or am I going to have to guess?" Alexis asked, wondering who in the world could even be Paisley's type.

"I don't know, do you want to meet him?"

That was a question that Alexis never expected. It was one thing to talk about a guy that Paisley liked, but it was another thing completely to meet the guy.

"Yeah, I would love too."

Looking back down at her phone for a moment, Paisley nodded and then started to type away. "Let me ask if we can come over, since his roommate also has to agree. Of course every time I have been over there his roommate was never there."

"Sure, whatever," Alexis mumbled as she got up from where she sat on the bed. Going over to her closet she pulled out some jeans and a blouse to put on, since she did not think meeting this guy who had grabbed Paisley's attention in just pajamas would be the best way to make an impression.

As she was slipping on her clothes, she could hear Paisley giggled for no real reason. Not moving her head, but letting her gaze move over to where Paisley was, Alexis figured that she read something funny.

There were a couple more minutes of slience that was broken by outbursts of giggles for Paisley. Finally the laughter stopped and Paisley got up, brushing some lint from her white skinny jeans. "Alright, he said that we can come over. His roommate might show up though with some dinner."

Grabbing her shoulder bag, Alexis flashed her friend an award winning smile. "That's fine. Let's just hope that this guy is a keeper and you don't ever feel the need to Delete him," Alexis joked, opening up her bedroom door and then stepping out.

Standing out on the sidewalk, Alexis stared up at the apartment complex that looked all to familiar. In fact, it was the same apartment complex that she had been advoiding for the past week, not wanting to even be in the general area of the building. Now here she was, wondering why in the world this guy that Paisley liked lived in this complex out of all of the hundred other ones in New York.

"And you are sure he lives here?" Alexis asked in disbelief.

"Positive," Paisley replied, stepping towards the glass doors so that she would walk inside.

Frowning, Alexis followed her friend inside and over to the elevators. The last time that she had been in the building was that day that she was out with Ashton and they were mobbed by fans outside the complex. That day was not one she cared to remember, but the memory came back since she was in the building and the building came with dozens of memories that all contained the curly haired drummer of 5SOS.
