After school.
I'm walking down the hallway when I hear someone call my name from behind me. I turn around and see Cartman jogging towards me.

"Kenny! Wait!"

"What?" I ask.

"Where were you during lunch? I thought we were going to meet up to ditch and go to the movies?" Cartman asks annoyed.

"Oh, I totally forgot.. sorry, man" I say quietly.

"Well you better be! I was looking all over for you!" Cartman's pretty pissed at me.

"I was just so worried about Butters because I couldn't find him anywhere so I called him and he was at Stark's pond so I went to meet him there."

"Butters?? Why would you be worrying about Butters?" He asks confused. "Wait.. is he the guy you like??" Cartman then exclaims.

"Yeah, he's so sweet."

"God damnit, Kenny.."

"What?"

"Butters sucks." Cartman says annoyed.

"No, we haven't done that yet." I say and smirk.

"Wh- ew, Kenny!" He exclaims. "That's so gross."

"What?? I'm just kidding."

"Ugh whatever." He frowns "But you know I skipped drama for you and that's my favourite class!"

"Sorry, man. I just got distracted."

"If you're just gonna be bailing on me you can forget about ditching classes with me again." Cartman turns around. "Unless it's gym." He adds and then walks away.
I didn't know Cartman would be so triggered about me not hanging out with him. He could've just went to the movies by himself. But that would be pretty lame. I just wanted to be with Butters.

After school.
Butters' grounded so I can't go to him, but Stan invited me to hang out so I'm heading to his house. I knock on the door.

"Hey, dude." Stan says after he opens the door. "Come in." He walks up to his room and I follow.

"So what do you wanna do?" I ask him as I sit down in his desk chair. He sits down on his bed.

"Well, I've been thinking about Kyle alot." He says.

"Because of the thing with him and Butters?"

"Not exactly."

"Because Kyle's bummed that Butters is into me now?"

"Okay that's cold, but no." He says and looks down at his hands.

"So you're thinking alot about Kyle because?" I ask.

"I... Look, I know it sounds bad but you have no idea how happy I was when Kyle and Butters broke up." He starts. "I never wanted them together to begin with. Ever since we were 12 I've had this thing for Kyle but I've always been too scared to act on it."

"Woah. Are you sure it's just a thing? It sounds like a bigger deal than that." I'm surprised to hear Stan say that. I honestly had no idea.

"I don't even know, dude. It's been so confusing. I've dated a couple of girls but somehow I've always had these thoughts about Kyle in the back of my mind. I like those girls but not enough to get Kyle out of my head. He's just so.."

"Dreamy?" I ask and snicker.

"Yeah! I don't get it. Like, no offence but I really don't get how Butters could just let him go the way he did. If I had him I'd never let him go."
