I immediately stood up from the table, and began marching towards father's work chambers.

Once I got there I barged right in, not asking permission nor did I wait to be announced.

When I opened the door, I saw the backside of a tall blonde pale man standing in front of my father desk as they spoke in moderate tone.

"Father!" I bellowed, gaining his and this stranger's attention at once since I hadn't gained it from my abrupt entrance.

At once my father's shoulders jumped up, and before I could make any statement he was quickly making an introduction.

"Ebonie, this is Daniel, the future king of France." He gestured, toward the pale man, "Daniel, this is my daughter, Ebonie."

I finally really looked at the tall pale man with blonde hair, Daniel, once more.

Not to my surprise he was already intently staring at me.

I quickly remembered my manners and my station.

I slowly walked forward towards him, my heels clicked again the floor with every step.

He is in shock about what I do not know, but his feet have not left the same spot since I have arrived.

When I reached him, he bowed taking my hand in his to kiss the back of my palm.

It was a quite kiss, I got tingles from his lips just being on my hand. I simply nodded acknowledgment, for sign of respect.

"Hello, I am Daniel. I am the future king of France." He said, introducing himself this time as he was beginning to stand up again his full height.

His voice was very deep and raspy. It made me feel comfortable and safe.

"Hello, I am Ebonie. I am the future queen of Fairmarsh."  I said finally looking into his eyes, and I got mesmerized in his as did he mine.

We stood looking into each other's eyes  for several moments, until someone awkwardly cleared their throat, behind me.

I turned to see who it was, and there he was. Malcolm.

I didn't have the chance to acknowledge his presence, nor did I want to before Daniel called for my attention again.

"Ebonie, would you do me the honor of showing me your castle." He asked, looking at me then towards my father for permission.

I placed my hand under his chin turning his burning gaze back onto me, "Yes, I would love to."

He held out his arm and I placed my arm inside his.

"We shall begin." I stated walking towards the chamber doors.

I showed him the enter castle, even the guest chambers where he would be staying, which was very close to my quarters. Not to mention it was the chamber where there was a passage that would lead right to my chambers.

That passage was created in case of emergency, like an attack on the castle and I would need to leave swiftly. No one knows of this chamber, but my family.

The creator of the passage died shortly after, it was finished.

No, it wasn't like that.

The creator was my great great great uncle and he had a bad heart.

I quickly regathered my thoughts as we came to the gardens.

My favorite place.

I inhaled the scent of all the flowers mixed together.

"This garden is truly beautiful, but not as much as thee." I heard him say, not loudly but just enough.

"Thank you." I turned to him, and he began smiling.

"Well, Princess it is my honor to notice your exquisite beauty. But may I ask in whose honor was this beautiful garden constructed for?" He began to smell the daisies I had planted two summers ago.

"It is mine. As a birthday gift from my mother as she knew I loved her garden, and she was never quite fond of her's. She torn the whole garden down and it was started from scratch for me. Every year, I add a new breed of flowers it keep things diverse."

I picked the daisy, he seemed to be very fond of and placed it in his hands.

He grabbed my hand as I placed the daisy in his, abruptly pulling me closer to his body.

I felt the heat radiating from his body, as he moved the hair from around my ear and as he placed the daisy behind my ear.

"I wondered what the daisy would look like behind your ear. I apologize if I was too forward, but I could not resist myself." He was looking in my eyes, so intently.

I suddenly felt this pull towards him, as did he.

Our lips were getting closer and closer.

They merely touched when my sister Athena, began shouting for me.

I sighed, and Daniel laughed at my dismay.

He bent down to my ear to whisper, "To be continued."

With that he left me, and my sister found me.

I was still in a daze that Daniel had previously left me in, but Athena didn't seem to notice.

"Can you please speak with mother!" She demanded, in a whiny tone.

"Athena, what is the matter now with mother?" I asked, in an uninterested tone.

"Mother is so stubborn! She is demanding that I move back to the castle, this week! She told if I don't agree she will marry me off tonight."

"Athena. Mother will never marry you off. Her telling you that is her twisted way of saying she misses you. Can you blame her? Because I miss you too. You barely write me anymore, and the castle isn't the same without you or Wynter not always being around." I said as we walked towards the palace, and away from the garden.

"I mean I guess you're right, I could write more. I'm just too excited to experience things, that I wasn't exactly able to before.  But that isn't an excuse, and I'm sorry. But, please, know I miss you as well. Don't tell Gaia or Wynter, but you're my favorite sister. You're the least critical, you let us learn from mistakes without mother and father knowing, and you are the most wise." Athena said hugging me very tight.

Suddenly, she pushed me away and began running in the other direction.

I was so shocked I stumbled backwards, hitting a wall.

"Athena, what is wrong? Why are you running?" I yelled after her as she turned the corner disappearing.

"I think I know why."
