Now today is the fourth day, and I shall be traveling to Egypt with Jason, Malcolm, and Daniel tomorrow.
My ladies in waiting were excited as they were chattering amongst themselves, it was the first time they had left the grounds of the kingdom either. They always had to be at my beck and call.
I felt pity for them in that way because they were never allowed to explore either. However, this is a job their parents signed them up to do and they had to be willing to accept the job as well. My parents were never people to force children to do something like working against their will. It was and still is beneath them.
I heard someone walking toward my carriage, and it was the royal driver help us out of the carriage because we had arrived at the boat. I let the ladies out first, and I exited last.
When I immediately exited the doors, I was thrust into a vast and astonishing scene. Everything was beautiful.
There were three very big ships made of a metal. I could not quite put my finger on it, had I were made to guess I would say it was a sort of steel. The boats had the kingdom's flag hoisted in the air as the wind blew it north.
The ship itself was rather plain, it was black and white on the outside and it looked rather rusty.
However, the rust didn't seem to affect the water. It was a clear blue that was breathtaking with the sun out, which was making the water glisten.
As I was walking, I noticed the sand was warm and comfortable yet grainy as it began to seep into my shoes.
This is very peaceful. I can not believe I have not experienced or seen this view before, I thought to myself.
"Please come, your majesty, we must board and sail immediately." The captain called out to me.
I walked very slowly, careful not to fall. Once I was near the boarding way, Jason was there to escort me all the up to the captain.
"Your Majesty," the captain greeted, as he bowed in respect. "It is of my utmost pleasure to have you aboard my ship."
"Thank you, captain. You may rise." He rose from his bowed position, and this time I got a good look at him.
He looked very young to be a captain, "If you don't mind me asking, what is your age?'
"Not at all my queen. I am 25 years of age." He winked at me, and I blushed.
He is a fresh young man, and I can't say I don't like it. But, when I looked at Jason's face I could tell he didn't, and his discontent was evident when he spoke.
"Excuse me, captain. I think your manners were forgotten. This is your queen, and you shall regard her as such with respect!" I held my hand up to stop Jason from going any further.
"It's fine, Jason. Captain.. I apologize, I never got your name." I smiled shyly at him.
"You are forgiven, my name is Theodore." He held his arm out and I took it with a smile.
"Your majesty, please walk with me." Theodore and I began walking toward the front of the ship.
As we walked he explained what certain things are, and I listened intently while I really took in his features.
His eyes were this magnificent brown. He had a little beard though it wasn't long at all, but it was sexy it reminded me of Daniel's. But Theodore had a sort of suaveness to him, that was very alluring which was a complete turn on. His hair was brown like his eyes. His hair reminded me of my own with much looser curls, his eyes --
"Ebonie, what are you doing?" Athena called out to me, alongside her was a visibly upset Daniel.
I looked down and muttered, "Shit." Theodore heard it and laughed.
I quickly put some distance between Theodore and I, which Theodore frowned at.
"Hello, Athena. I almost forgot that you would be joining us." I said walking over to them, while Theodore was only a few steps behind me.
"Hello, Daniel." I greeted, and Daniel not yet looking at me was having a staring contest with Theodore.
I cleared my throat, and Daniel smiled at me. "Hello, My Queen." He grabbed my hand, and kissed it while looking at Theodore.
I snatched my queen back, rolling my eyes, which cause Daniel to frown.
"Athena, this is Theodore. He is the captain of this ship, which we will be riding to Maya's realm." Athena waved, "That is not the only thing that you'll be riding, I can see."
Theodore smiled, while Daniel huffed out of frustration, and I elbowed her in the side.
Changing the subject, "Theodore, can we all continue the tour of your lovely ship?"
"Of course, your majesty." He winked at me, and I couldn't contain the blush spreading on my face.
"Hey, Theo. We have to leave soon." A young boy said walking up, with a map in his hands.
"Yes, but first we have company. This is Max, my younger brother. Max, this is Queen Ebonie, and her sister, Princess Athena." Theodore introduced, Max bowed as a sign of respect, but could not take his eyes off Athena. When I looked at her, I could tell the attraction was mutual.
"I have an idea, how about Max show Athena around if that's not a problem?" Athena was blushing, as was Max smiling.
"Of course, Your majesty. Shall we?" Max held his arm out, and Athena took it quickly soon they were off.
I laughed, looking up to notice Daniel and Theodore were staring at me.
"So, I think I should retire to my room before we set sail."
"Of course, please let me show you the way. I am quite adept with the ship now, I have been walking around all morning."
"Okay, I guess I will see you around the ship Theodore." I stated, walking away arm in arm with Daniel.
