Chapter 17

Chapter 17:

Rosie's POV:

It's been 2 weeks since the guys left. The first few days were bad ?
We all felt lost, not knowing what to do now the guys were gone. But eventually we had to get back to our normal routine.

I went back to the zoo the day after they left. The first week went by agonisingly slow. I didn't talk to anyone other than the girls when I got home or when Luke and the guys rang.

The start of the second week I was called into the office at the zoo.

"Rosie, we have a new worker starting this week and we would like it if you could show him around the place." Zoe the head of the zoo told me.

"Yeah sure, what day this week?" I ask not really bothered.

"He is starting today. His name Brad, and he will be working with you for a couple of weeks," she smiles.

"Okay that's grand."

"Okay, let's go meet him and then you can get back to the animals."

We get out of the office and sitting on one of the chairs was a tall guy, with dark blonde hair. When he heard is he looked up and I seen his amazing brown eyes.

As we approached him he stood up, he stuck out his hand to me with a smile on his face.

"Hey, I'm Brad."

"Hi, uh, I'm Rosie."

"Brad nice to see you again," Zoe begins, "Rosie here will be showing you around the place and showing you how we do things here," Zoe smiles at Brad.

I leave the office and start making my way to the reptile enclosure, Brad following behind.

"So how long have you been working here?"

"Almost 2 years," I tell him.

"That's cool so that makes you what age?" He asks.

"Sixteen."

"Really? I thought you were about 18," he says, his eyes wide in shock.

"So what age are you then?" I ask, curiosity getting the better of me.

"I'm 17, I will be 18 in a couple of months," he smiles.

The whole day we spent together. I was showing him where everything was and how we do things here.

That night I was reeling the girls about him when I we got a Skype call from Calum.

The girls started telling them about all the things that happened that day and they told the guys about Brad. Luke looked a bit uncomfortable and then a bit angry. He left saying he had to do something so I said goodbye to the guys and went to my room when he left.

I text Luke just to see if he was okay.

Rosie: "Hey are you okay? X"

Luke: "Yeah fine just not feelin 2 well, talk to you later X"

Rosie: "Okay bye feel better :* X"

I didn't get a reply off him so I went to sleep.

I spent the whole week at work with Brad and we got to know more and more about each other.

Luke was distant during the Skype calls and only sent one word texts to me.

I didn't want to think he was jealous because there was nothing going on between me and Brad. We were only friends.

At the end of the third week without the guys Brad asked me something at lunch.

"Do you wanna hang out after work tonight? Or maybe do something tomorrow?"

I wasn't sure if this was a date so I had to ask.

"Is this a date or just as friends?" I ask sounding worried.

"As friends, we can go hang out at the park and get McDonalds or something. Whatever you want." Brad smiles.

"Sure, I would like that," I smile at him.
