Chapter 24

Chapter 24:

Luke's POV:

I stare at the girl in front of me in disbelief.

"Ana? Is that you? Like, really you? Really, really?" My drunken self says.

"Yeah, it is. Long time no see, Hemmings. What is it? Four? Five years?"

"I'm not sure. I don't know whether it's the alcohols fault or it's just been so long," I tell her.

"Is that so?" She chuckles, "What have you been up to since I last talked to you?"

"Well my band has been doing good. We are touring right now actually, we are the opening acts on tour," I tell her.

"Oh really? Who are you touring with?"

"Ehm, we are touring with One Direction."

"Really? No way? I am going to the concert tomorrow!"

"Cool, so how come you are over here for the show?"

"Well my job has me moving around and I knew I would be here in Italy so I got tickets."

"Oh, what job?"

"I'm a model," she tells me.

I look her over. I can see why she is a model. She is tall and skinny. She has has long blonde hair and has the face of a model. Her eyes are a beautiful shade of green. And her lips are plump and a rosy pink.

I continue to stare at her lips.

"I can tell," I blurt out.

"Oh really?" she smirks.

"Yeah, really," I say leaning in, Ana doing the same.

We inch closer and I can smell her perfume. Our lips are almost touching when I hear my name.

"Luke? LUKE?"

I jump back from Ana and turn. I am face to face with Niall. I give him an annoyed look and he smirks at me.

"Am I interrupting something?" he smirks at us, winking.

"Eh no," I casually answer.

"So who is this beautiful young lady?" He asks with a flirty smile on his lips.

"This is Anastasia. Ana meet Niall."

"Hey," she smiles to him with an award winning smile.

"Hey," Niall repeats, looking as if he is at a loss of words from her smile.

"Ehm Luke can I talk to you for a second?"

"Yeah, sure," I say walking with Niall a few steps away.

"I met this girl up at the bar and she was telling me about this club. I was gonna ask do you wanna go and meet some girls but...." He trails off looking towards Ana.

"I see you already found someone," he says, winking at me again.

"It's not like that," I blush. "We used to be friends, it's been years since I seen her."

"Used to be, I can see that. If I had of been like 10 seconds later you guys would have been sucking the faces off each other."

"What is it about this club?" I ask changing the subject.

"I can't really remember but the girl at the bar was saying good things about it. So do you wanna go? You can bring your pretty friend Ana," he smiles like a 5 year old.

"Yeah. Sure why not? Let's go ask her."

We make our way back to Ana who was talking to another girl with unnatural, bright, red hair.

"Hey Ana, Niall was telling me about this club he heard of. We are heading over there if you wanna come to." I say.

Niall goes up to the girl with brunette and pokes her side. She turns around, she has beautiful chocolate brown eyes, and she hugs Niall. I'm guessing that's the girl he was talking to earlier.

"So are we all going?" Niall asks looking at Ana.

"Yeah, let's go!" She says. Niall and the brunette girl I haven't been introduced to yet walk out, Niall putting his arm over her shoulder, probably more for his balance than anything else.

I look to Ana and she smiles. We walk to the door after them side by side. We step outside and there is bright flashing. I put my arm up to shield my eyes from the brightness.

"Luke?" I hear Ana say anxiously. I grab her arm and I try walking away from the bright flashing.

"Luke smile!"

"Luke!"

"Luke who is the girl?!"

"Luke!"

The reporters shout at me. My phone buzzed in my pocket.

"Are you okay?" I shout to Ana.

"Yeah, where is Niall and Jen gone?"

"I'm not sure. but I got a message guessing it's from him just let me check," I say stopping trying to pull my phone from my pocket.

The flashing and shouting continues. God this isn't helping me, I feel like I'm going to pass out from the alcohol and all this flashing that is making me dizzy.

I was right it was a text from Niall.

'Change of plan, they are gonna follow us so lets go back to the hotel instead of the club at least we will have security there'

Then my phone buzzed again with another message from Niall.

'Go round the corner me and Jen are already in the van waiting for ye'

"Change of plan we are all going back to our hotel. C'mon there is a van waiting for us round this way," I say into Ana's ear, as I take her hand and pull her behind me away from the paparazzi.

We get out of the big huddle of people and turn the corner. I see the van not far in front of us. Niall opens the door and I get Ana in first. I look behind and the paps are following closely. I slam the door closed as I get in and the van speeds off back towards our hotel.

"Well," Niall says, "that's my exercise for the month done."
