Chapter 22

Chapter 22:

Rosie's POV:

I woke up in a bad mood for a few reasons.

Reason number one: I had been woken by that stupid, annoying alarm clock. I forgot how annoying it sounds this early.

Reason number two: I feel like my head could explode at any minute now because I have a pounding headache. My head hurts from crying so much and all the thinking and over thinking I have been doing last night.

Which brings me to reason number three: Luke. He was the cause of my crying. I was expecting a text from him when I turned my phone on.

Where is my phone? Oh my God! Where is it? Where is it?!

I stop my panicking when I open my drawer and retrieve my phone. I press the button to turn on the phone and get ready for work while it loads everything up.

After a few minutes I'm dressed in my uniform for the zoo, with my hair and make-up done. I walk back over to my bed to see if I have any text messages. But I didn't.

My stomach dropped. It felt like the first couple of days after they left. I felt a bit more annoyed at him.

Maybe he tried to send a text but he had no signal and it couldn't be sent and he would have to retry but he didn't notice? No, he always has his phone with him.

I could feel the anger bubbling up inside of me.

I grabbed my bag and went to work hoping that the walking to the zoo would calm me down.

I was so wrong. I was still angry even at work, even visiting the penguins didn't help because they reminded me of Luke and how we met.

When I was inside preparing the food I kept dropping everything or I couldn't find something and I was getting very frustrated.

Brad came in, he was searching for something. He asked me and I whispered I didn't know. He must not have heard me because he asked again.

"I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T KNOW BRAD! Ugh!"

"Are you okay?" Brad asks with wide eyes.

I don't answer him, instead I break down crying.

"That's it I'm taking you home we there you like it or not."

I don't object, I was my hands to get the smell of the food off them and get my things. I find Brad waiting for me just outside of the zoo keepers break room.

"Come one lets get you home," Brad smiles at me as he opens his car door for me.

Luke's POV:

I was upset and angry at Rosie still, she is probably at work with Brad right now.

I go to the boys who are in the living area of the hotel room. I sit down between Michael and Ashton. They had the laptop out and open on Skype. My heart fluttered a little at the thought of seeing Rosie.

"Who are you gonna call?" I ask, hoping it was Rosie and her friends.

"We are calling Dani now," Michael says with a wide grin on his face.

"Okay," I say cooly, trying not to sound excited.

I look down at myself and I am still in my pyjamas. I probably look a right state. I get up off the couch and go to my room.

I rush around it trying to find something that looks half decent. I settle on my black jumper with white sleeves and black stars on the sleeves.

I put a beanie on my head because I won't have enough time to fix my mess of hair.

I got back to the couch and say back down between Mikey and Ash.

"Someone is all dressed up," Calum says winking at me.

"Shut up," I mumble, looking down and playing with my phone.

I hear the sound of a Skype call coming in and I see Dani's name and profile picture show up.

Micheal answers it and I look away. I am half afraid to look at the screen and see Rosie's face.

A loud, excited "Hi" comes from Mikey when Dani appears on the screen followed by Charlie and Storm. The rest of us mumble a "hey" to them too.

I think I will apologise to Rosie when I see her. I may have over reacted just a little bit yesterday.

"Hey where's Rosie?" I blurt out over Ashton talking.

"She is at work," Storm answers.

"Oh," is all I answer.

After listening to them all talk for another few minutes I get bored of feeling like a seventh wheel and decide that I will leave in a few minutes so I don't seem too rude.

I hear a noise in the background, it sounded like a door being opened. My heart started hammering faster and faster in my chest!

"Ro? Is that you?" Dani asks.

"Hello?" Charlie calls out after Dani got no reply.

"Yeah it's me," I hear her call out.

My heart literally feels like it is about to jump out of my chest.

"We are in the living room!" Storm yells, very loudly.

"Can you stop shouting we are right beside you?" Charlie says.

"Rosie isn't," is all she says with a smug look.

Rosie walks into the room and sits down beside Dani, resting her head on Dani's shoulder.

"How come you are home?" Charlie asks.

"She wasn't feeling the best so I brought her home," the be voice I was hoping I would never hear ever again.

I take my eyes off Rosie and look around the screen.

Brad was leaning against the doorframe looking at Rosie all concerned. He was probably faking it.

I swear if it was anybody else I wouldn't have minded but it just had to be him, didn't it!

Hey guys! Did ya miss me? :P

I finally updated! I know it's a little short but I finally got over my writers block!

I'm on my midterm and thank god for that because school has been taking up all my time since we got back!

But yay for midterm and Halloween tomorrow! Anybody else dressing up or is it just me? I'm going as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz! I can't wait!

I will try my best to update regularly but I'm still not sure how that will go with school.
